I've recently seen a Battlefield 2 video about the hitboxes and they were behind the player, don't know if they ever got fixed. So the hitbox bugs have been plaguing other Battlefield games.

Let me correct you that, SiMPLE has not created any map, the SiMPLE New Maps package is a collection of 9 maps created by the BF1942 community. We just chose the best custom maps, in our opinion.

You can't have Road to Rome and Secret Weapons map files in the same directory as the Battlefield 1942 maps files, because they are expansion packs, xpack1 and xpack2, respectively. They work just like Battlefield 1942 mods do, you will have to play them separately.

You should try some Battlefield 1942 mods like Forgotten Hope, Forgotten Hope: Secret Weapons, BattleGroup42, Battlefield 1918, FinnWars and many other mods, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I don't know when redirection will be turned off, it depends on the players awareness that the server has changed to a different location, maybe in 1 to 2 months.

It is the Lenovo TS140 with Intel Xeon E3-1246 v3 CPU, plenty of processing power. The problem with the Paris server, which has an Intel Atom C2750, was that around 60 players the CPU was reaching maximum and struggling in some maps.
