Sorry Zody, I haven't answered you before. I won't say who was the admin here publicly, that admin suspects joint used cheats.
Retaliation or not, you shouldn't say it. You are to blame as much as they are.
It's working again.
Agreed, but you should not call someone "scum" and trash talking when you kill them. Show some respect, too.
You are no longer banned. I was spectating you in Midway and Battle of Britain and you were not using cheats.
The lag some players experience is on their side. When their computer has to render lots of objects (tanks, planes, jeeps), they experience lag. For example, in Aberdeen map if i see lots of tanks, it lags, because my graphic card is a crap, it's a Radeon 9200SE, and I'm running on lowest video settings.
It's true that there are some problems when it has more than 64 players, the server doesn't show up on Gamespy in-game list, some few players aren't recognized by BFSM, but the 72 players slots has made the server more popular.
BFServerManager v2.01 for Windows patched:
BFServerManager201-patched.zip

BFRemoteManager v2.01 patched:

It would most probably need lots of code modifications to run in BF2, I'm not acquainted with BF2. I know they have a different Gamespy protocol than BF1942.
I read somewhere that Kevin Lockitt, the coder of BFServerManager for BF1942 and BFVietnam, asked 7500 $ to code it for BF2.
There is no need to stress and worry. I've contacted the admin who banned you.
BFServerManager and BFRemoteManager for Windows maximum players limit raised to 128, but I'm not sure if BFServerManager will work correctly when over 64 players are in the server. BFServerManager may crash and some players may not show up in the Players List, when over 64. I couldn't test it.
I fixed another limitation using in-game commands when targetting a player with an ID over 64, for instance, !kick .71 did not work before. Also did some other minor cosmetic changes.
BFServerManager v2.0 (final) for Windows patched:
BFServerManager20final-patched.zip

BFRemoteManager v2.0 (final) patched:
BFRemoteManager20final-patched.zip
MD5: 7F60038C4AE1D06819DCA86243D138AE
Note: I've used BFServerManager v2.0 (final) instead of BFServerManager v2.01, because BFServerManager v2.01 has a bug, which can't handle correctly player names with non-ASCII code.
Hi joint,
You are unbanned, sorry for that.
I've read your post there. I think it is a good idea, but I don't guess your proposal will go ahead, since the admin staff don't play the demos.
I don't know how much time and effort would take for they to set up another league, but most admins are already busy trying to get the BF1942 league running and managing another one would be probably cumbersome for them. If you or someone else trustworthy could take that role, then it could be possible. I guess it must come from someone who plays the game and would take part in that league.
There is also another potential problem, how can a competition be fair and true, if there is no anti cheat software, like PunkBuster, for BF1942 SW Demo.
Hi Homer.kea,
There is no problem, SGT_VICTOR is unbanned now.
Sorry for the late answer, HoOK. First you have to download BF1942 Server v1.6 and install it. Next, download BF1942 Server Update v1.61 and run it. Now, you have the server files of the latest version (v1.61) installed in your computer. Go to your Battlefield 1942 Server directory, by default it's in C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942 Server, and double click DedicatedServer.exe. Select your Server name, Password, if you want, Time of each map, Maximum Number of Players, Rounds per map, etc. Next, click on the Mods/Maps tab and select the maps you want to run in your server by clicking the Add button. Check out the other tabs Gameplay and Advanced, change some values according to your preference. You don't need to change in the IP Settings tab, unless you wish to modify the default game port 14567. After you're done changing your server settings and selecting the maps, click the Start Server button and it should open a black box with some information, that's the server console. You now have your server running and your friends can connect to your public IP address, if you have outgoing port 14567 opened in your home router.
That is the trickiest part, you need, most probably, to open outgoing port 14567 in your router's firewall, so any player from outside your network can join your server. You can check this site http://portforward.com/english/routers/ … rindex.htm for some help. After you manage to open the port 14567 to UDP traffic, you may wish also to open port 23000 to UDP, so your server is listed in the in-game Gamespy server list and in other tracker websites.
Another program very handy to install is BFServerManager, which has lots of features to administrate your server.
You may be overwhelmed by all this information, but it's not that hard running your own home dedicated BF1942 server. The best way to learn is by doing. Good luck!
Nice infantry video, I enjoyed the sniper rifle kills. Does that [warteam] clan play only in BF1942 SW Demo? There is an european league for BF1942 clans, which is open to anyone. They can participate if they wish so.
Soldier and vehicle friendly fire damage was lowered to 15%, now teamwounding or shooting friendly vehicles should be lower. Friendly fire splash damage is still at 100% (nades and expacks). We have discussed it in other topics in the Feedback section, you can follow it there.
Impressive performance from that street musician, he really masters the cello.
Then you need to click the Connect button, but you should ask some friends to join you, because it is always empty, so you can talk between you and your friends in our Mumble server.
If you want to test Mumble voice chat, join some other server in the Public List from your country and talk with some other users there.
We will look after him. Don't stress out while playing.
Yesterday, BFServerManager crashed at night, because I've been patching it and I did some mistakes, though.
Those 2 players you referred we'll be taken care of. Thanks for reporting.
Gamer rage
Hi Radosav,
Have you tried connecting to other Mumble servers in the public list? Did they work?
Probably, you entered an incorrect IP address 188.165.220.115 or port 64738, when adding our Mumble server.
Creating a server in Russia is out of the question, mainly because there are plenty of good BF1942 russian servers.
Yes, I will explain you later how can you create a dedicated server.
There is a file, I've never tried it because I still use Windows XP for gaming, that possibly fixes this compatibility problems with BF1942.exe. I will try to find it and post the link here.
The "Different Data from server" error message you get is because you installed some .rfa files to your <BF1942DIR>Modsf1942Archivesf1942levels folder, like Midway_003.rfa, or changed your Objects.rfa or texture.rfa. If you want to play in our server which has content check enabled, you can't install any different textures form the original ones, like blood patch or any texture patch.
It's a good idea, but the custom maps have to be selected beforehand and modded to account for a higher number of players than they were originally designed and also place anti-basecamp system. Then, to get things right announce to download the custom maps pack some weeks before they are run.
I had thought before to run a separate server with exclusively custom maps, like BF1942.ru has.
Did he know why he was banned?
Are you a regular of BF1942 SW Demo? I play on ONLY THE BEST often too, never saw you there though.
No, I rarely play BF1942 SW Demo, but it's a great game and Hellendoorn map is always amusing.
Meskalero is banned, I will check it.
Battlefield 1942 wasn't designed to run on Windows Vista or Windows 7, unfortunately. I believe you need to run BF1942.exe in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode or even Windows 98/Windows ME compatibility and run it as administrator.
