There's no debate here.  000 can target without provocation and draws satisfaction from it.  When I first came back to play BF1942, my only crime was occasionally acquiring the gold medal, due to how I enjoy to play this game...fragging!  Not some twisted obsession to steal gold.  His purpose isn't some harmless tit for tat revenge killing, but to completely ruin your game whilst barely staying inside the rules.

On a side note...

Hopefully, most of you aren't too naive to notice that most of 000's posts are designed to appeal to Tuia indirectly.  Especially since Tuia has been more active.  He analyses Tuia's posts and attempts to manipulate, indirectly and directly.   I could do a more in-depth analysis and quote 000 and Tuia's posts side by side, but I won't insult the intelligence of this community.

Bottom line is, he'll always have an answer or an excuse and will never conform.  There's only one way to deal with such an extreme narcissist and that's zero tolerance.  Although I agree mostly with Tuia's policy on banning, unfortunately, regarding 000, he is out of touch and very blasé on what is enough to constitute to a permanent ban.

Gazala was removed from the maplist because it is being reformulated, probably move the control point to the hidden airfield, like it was in aX server. Any suggestions you may have to Gazala map? By the way, some other maps will also be tweaked.

Midway - Please add some rotating parachute points on the island, restoring some good island battles.  Most of the time it seems one team has the flags for the whole round, held by a handful, whilst the rest of the players in the server are either crashing carriers/ships or waiting for what seems like one of the unlimiting spawning planes.  I'd ask for it to go vanilla, but I know all the donkeys will start spitting feathers.

Omaha -  Please re-add (limited) expacks to Omaha.  Omaha did fine with expacks for years.   Start allies off with the beach flag.

Berlin - There's a lot of complainers...  Give the kids some toys.   Give each side an apc or someting, whilst making sure to block apc access to axis base.  Since expacks were removed, the k98 and No. 4 have become a hard sell...  Swap them out for the Type 5 and m1 Garand.  If it must remain as CQ, then change allied spawn points to help prevent baselock.

El Alamein - It's good to have a dedicated chucky cheese map (Guadal!), it keeps things less serious and the bots can let off some steam.  Maybe change which map it can be done to, to keep things fresh (guadal)?  Forgot how normal CQ El Al played in Pub!

KURSK - Way too many vehicles for the map size and player population. An abomination.  I generally despise this map in all it's forms.  Get rid.

PHILLIES - IMO this map could be made more interesting by downsizing it, focusing more on the bridge flags.

BATTLEAXE - IDK if it's because there's too many vehicles or the player-base is full of Graiziers, but it feels like nobody wants to touch the flags.  6 planes on Battleaxe feels like too much.

The first and most obvious problem is Tuia.  Although we can appreciate some of the work, time and money he's put in to the server over the years, there comes a point where neglect and absence start to out-weigh everything else.

I've never known such a confusing situation, where someone pays for a server in a game which they rarely, if ever play, just so they can neglect the server and show such little interest.

The only motive I can think of is that Tuia is slouching in a hammock somewhere with his phone out, giggling at this forum.

Second problem is Worldstream.  I rented the exact same server as simple and noticed some of the same weird problems as Simple.  Server location and provider need to change.  I'd suggest Germany.

Last problem is mods.  More specifically HZ mod.  This is the only (known!!!) mod atm that could be capable of messing with the fundamentals.  That being said, these mods and modders always seem to be shrouded in mystery.  Who knows what mods may have been implemented without making it public knowledge...  Remember the fire-deviation mod!!!

#8 Re: Feedback » Do you like Kursk ? » 2023-02-04 14:01:21

Its' been said a gazillion times... bad spawns and too many vehicles.  Too many mods from a pilot/vehicle fanatics perspective.

Take in to account that server population has dropped and the negative effects of these mods are more prevalent than ever before.

Take Battleaxe for example:

10+ vehicles on each side?  which can hold 10+ players on each side.

Then you've got another 5-10 players on each side waiting for one of the active vehicles, because they know there is a ton of vehicles and something is bound to re-spawn sooner or later.   Then the rest are snipers.

That's around 40+ players, which is around the servers average population atm.  The map stagnates, players don't go for flags.  The ratio of fighting infantry to vehicles is unbalanced.

Barring maps like Aberdeen, Coral Sea and BoB, most maps were designed where teams consisted of 15% or 20% vehicles, which were considered special and coveted.

Furthermore, as already stated, the random deathmatch spawn times affect the flow of the game.  Players should all spawn together and attack in waves.  This is the worst mod of them all, it changes everything... attacking/capping flags, defence, base-lock, come backs etc.  If you want to fight against mass spawn killing, then MAYBE strategically change the location of specific spawn points.

Some small mods are necessary, but changing the fundamentals is a no no.  It's become a Frankenstein server.

This isn't an attack on modders.  Your intentions were good.   You efforts are appreciated.  Maybe some of these mods worked well once upon a time,  but maybe it's time now to adapt?

#9 Re: Report Abuse » sweet hacks on Berlin <3 » 2023-01-29 15:35:44

They lack self awareness.

Essentially, when they accuse people of cheating, they're questioning their very character.  They accuse them of being unfair and dishonest people, which can be taken as an insult.  They discredit the skills they've acquired over years of playing Battlefield.  Not only do they do this publicly without any evidence, but in some cases it is uploaded/saved on Twitch and Youtube channels.  Then they wonder why there are videos in response...

"Cause and effect my love"

They don't take FULL accountability for their actions.  Even in an apology, there is a distinct taste of bitterness, "I think he make some changes in the settings or he is gaming on an old win XP PC, whatever it is, hope it is legal wink"

Some players act on emotion and ego.  The better players are able to use common sense and logic to separate fact and truth from all the other drivel.

Now look here you bad boys, stop being silly.  This is a very serious game and we all have to adhere to every little form of etiquette known to man.  I will not tolerate this for one instance.  I want you all to shake hands now or I'll keep talking and tell you off.  I can be very mature when I want to be, especially when one of my friends is upset.

You can be my friend too, as long as you follow my friendship guidelines:

1.  Always join my tourneys, even if you're in the middle of a house fire!
2.  Accept my bipolarism
3.  Don't question me when I join/leave 40 of the same discord channels every week.
4.  Always get involved with my modding projects and events, even if half of them are totally ridiculous at this stage in the game.

Got it?  I have respect in this game and lots of credibility, so you better listen to me, you bad boys.  I can be a silly billy too, when it suits me, yea it might seem hypocritical but that's just me... If you're confused about it, refer to guideline No.2.

Better the devil you know, sometimes.

I don't know how long you've been here Rinjo, but I can say there's been a massive improvement since new administration took over.  Now, everybody is accountable for their actions, including admin.  Sure, nothing is perfect and there's always room for improvement, but relatively speaking, it's not been long since new admin took over... It's a work in progress.  Give it time and voice your concerns through the right channels.

One of the main set backs that slows things down, is that the server owner is almost always absent.  This mainly affects things like DDOS and anything that requires ftp access to the server (MODS!!!).  AFAIK the server does have a level of DDOS protection.

However, I do agree that there should be a new server with a new location, under the same management, with a more barebones approach regarding server settings, (hz) mods etc.  There's definitely something going on with this server... jumping pings, simultaneous lag spikes and erratic hit registration.

Sometimes, less is more.

BTW: If you're looking for a team to join fun wars now and then, conquer might be able to accommodate you.

Yep, another classic case, where Simon pulls Tuga's pants down in front of the whole school.  As good as the video is, unfortunately it won't make the slightest bit of difference to Tuga's mindset.   I've learned that trying to educate these types is like banging your head against a brick wall.  I dunno, it's like they're on a different planet... Maybe they're stupid, or just stubborn and spiteful.

These types of accusations are detrimental to the community.  It only takes a few of these public accusations until they spread rampantly and before you know it, everyone is paranoid.  Some might choose to download hacks to even the odds.  Some might quit the 'toxic' game.  Accused players might get unfairly banned if you don't have the right admins.

It's really easy to blame hacks when emotions are high and egos are involved.  It's much harder to look in the mirror and accept your level.  If I see someone who's better than me, the first thing I do is make friends with them and play with/against them.

I took a small break and jumped back on yesterday.  Only took 20 minutes for the village idiot to start screaming for the 1337787563895th time this year...

But many enjoy vehicles here.  There exciting.  INF is less exciting.  Most maps did not have enough
vehicles before the player count was increased.  It is far worse now.

IMO, players should snipe the outposts, not the main base.

It's not just about less vehicles, it's about balance.  As I suggested, some maps could use more vehicles.  CQ map objectives seem to be lost on some maps.  The game mode is an integral part of the game that drives it.  Look at Midway, Guadalcanal etc.  They've become somewhat pointless.  It's more like a Mario Kart server, where everyone gets a vehicle and just diddle-daddles.  At this rate, you might as well just make the flags uncappable and just turn some maps into CTF or some silly sausage mod.  Berlin became kind of tedious and pointless too.

Does nobody else feel like the server is too heavily modded?  I feel like all these mods and the no base killing rule have become counterproductive.  Almost every map I play I see more than half a dozen players pissing around in base.   This is probably caused by what seems like an unlimited amount of spawning vehicles, along with base protection.  It ruins the flow and dynamics of the game.  These maps were carefully designed with balance in mind.  It affects the skill pool as well...

Nobody gives a shit about their vehicle being blown up, because they know another one will respawn shortly afterwards.  Players aren't forced to play infantry anymore, they're completely vehicle dependent.  They'd rather fill up one of the unlimited spawning jeeps with xpacks than trek out into the field as infantry.  On some maps there's such a lack of infantry, the game tends to stagnate... Battleaxe comes to mind.  It works both ways, Berlin might benefit from more "useful" vehicles and xpacks.

I can understand some base protection.  Certain maps could become ridiculous if the base spawns were constantly being shelled/bombed.  On the other hand, hordes of players are just stood in the base doing nothing and have no incentive to move.  Base bombing/shelling can be indiscriminate, therefor is an understandable rule.  Sniping and shooting base should be allowed, as long as there's a sufficient death bubble and no nades/artillery.  I understand it's annoying to get sniped whilst waiting for a vehicle, but all you need to do is move around a little bit.  Maybe these base dwellers will get off their ass and get active.  Hell, maybe this would solve the vehicle whore problem and give others a chance at tanking or flying.  If you're really lucky, maybe one of those low ID abusers takes a headshot, right before their vehicle spawns.

Furthermore... What constitutes to a player being active in base?  Some admin like to move away from spawn and set these dumb traps by baiting players.  If you move away from spawn, to me it means you're active and from a foggy distance it looks like you're sniping... Here's a prime example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3PFOandmMg

It's such a finicky, fussy rule that can be abused by players and admin alike.  Get rid, it would save us all some braincells.

There's a bunch of other stuff that could be changed as well... bring back (limited) xpacks on Omaha... longer vehicle spawning times... get rid of the 10 second deathmatch infantry spawns...anything else?

Does anyone remember playing vanilla public?  It was a completely different experience.

There is no malicious intent.

You probably have a poor understanding of the game, like so many others.  It's not just abuse of proning that leads to this kind of situation.  There are so many other factors why different players, at different times can become unhittable, which is completely out of a players control... That's a whole new topic!

I'll put this down to a genuine mistake due to lack of knowledge and not some weird internet admin flex.  Please unban me, cheers.
