Hey all!

Just an honest question here from someone who has helped keep the Desert Combat mod alive for quite some time...

Do people actually enjoy the mod?

Are there people who would play the mod, but just don't think there are servers?

Is there anyone here who would want to play Desert Combat, or versions of it?

Desert Combat seems to be dying, with the loss of Maxnet a year back, the loss of ea117 to almost nothing, and the recent crashing and IP change of -[HELLO]- Desert Combat... have all but dwindled the numbers of PvP Desert Combat playing to all but nothing. About three months ago 43 players were on a single server for Desert Combat, but now a good day is somewhere in the 10-15 range, much less than what the DC community has enjoyed in the recent past. I want to get those numbers back up to where they belong and once were. I haven't given up faith, and I am trying to reach out to anyone that wants to support this mod and continue the great legacy it holds.

Hello All,

I'd like to formally invite you to a couple of things.

To join in our Weekly events here at Hello Clan!

Also, to join our ever growing and active discord community!

Every week we have been playing the pirates mod on our BF1942 server. We have seen major success week in and week out, with an average peak of 20 players. With this ongoing success, we decided it'd be best to add another weekly event on Saturdays. The mod of choice is the Desert Combat mod. I have made custom DCF maps, and TONS of server-side mods for desert combat. This is a perfect chance for you to join in for some DCF action on Saturdays!

Times for the Events?

2:00 PM EST - 6:00 PM EST

6:00 PM GMT - 10:00 PM GMT

Same times for both Saturday and Sunday!

Saturday's event is Desert Combat. Sunday's event is battlefield pirate's mod.

Come join our great community here at Hello Clan, we play every weekend, and get hit and miss crowds during the week for vanilla/rtr/sw maps.

For our DC events, you may need to install my 7 custom maps, if we choose to run them. They are going to be in the maplist, so while you will be able to play the generic DC maps, you will be booted when we run a custom one.

Hello All!

I am here on behalf of HELLO Clan, to announce our next event!

Event Date: Saturday, July 31st

Start Time: 12:00 PM CST - 4:00 PM CST        or           6:00 PM GMT - 10:00 PM GMT

We will be playing the Desert Combat Final Mod, and along with that we will be incorporating eight custom made maps. We might only pick a few. but we would appreciate if you installed the whole map pack folder, so it doesn't limit our choices.

Seven of the eight maps were created by BangBangOw, the other map was created by Jim2102.

There are a few things you will need to play in this event.

1. A copy of Battlefield 1942 (http://team-simple.org/download/Battlefield_1942.zip)

2. Desert Combat 0.7 Mod (https://www.moddb.com/mods/desert-comba … -combat-07)

3. Desert Combat Final Mod (https://www.moddb.com/mods/desert-comba … nal-update)

The Above Links will install a copy of Battlefield 1942, and the necessary Desert Combat Mods to play in this event. Now all you need is the custom maps that we will incorporate.
