TK for AW52 on Essen, hogged it just flying circles around the main and zooked it more than once during takeoff.
Later that day on Santa Croce he again went on a team killing spree until auto kick. He was on the other team so idk exactly what he did, but his team mates were reporting him in chat for quite some time so I guess he was doing damage in the main.
I already suggested this few months ago. I would be perfect if somebody coded it so that bots automatically get shut down after player count reaches a certain number. 16 would be fine. Some people here suggest asking admin for !nobots command, but we all know RR+SW has no admins online more than half the time.
So we were playing on Peenemunde this evening and player alex32rus (red team) stole the AW52 from blue and kept wrecking us with it for about half the round without dying until admin Bereichsleiter (blue) decided to kick him for teamkills. The problem is, he with his AW52 was the only thing keeping red from getting owned and the round was fairly balanced until that point.
I asked the admin why he kicked him, he said "-18 score". But he had like 70+ score so I ask how many TKs are actually needed for a kick? Is there any rule for that? To which admin responded that it's to keep the others safe. But removing alex removed any hope of victory for red and ruined what was a close game. Also, everyone knows that when you fly AW52 for more than 20 minutes, you're likely to score some TKs.
My suspicion is that Bereichsleiter kicked him out of selfish reasons after getting rekt over and over by him. I've witnessed more than once that players had (-) scores and weren't kicked, I remember one guy that had like -25 (but above 0) on Cassino and admins just warned him because he wasn't doing it on purpose and it was near the end of the round.
Last night on Salerno he kept switching teams to teamkill the player on 25 pounder on the top of the hill. I don't know if he tk'd any other players but I know he killed Belgian Butcher like that multiple times. He (BB) kept complaining about it but there was no admin online at the time, so I said I'll report him on the forum.
We all know that Germans on Essen rarely win. And one of the main reasons is the fact that Allied aircraft respawn ridiculously fast, the C47 almost instantaneously. Obviously, increasing their spawn time is one solution, but that might make the game boring. Another, better option would be to decrease the spawn time for German tanks, Wasserfall and jetpacks, preventing them from being constantly outgunned.
It would change the game too much.
Besides, you already have a mod for that, along with 100s of games that do the same thing. So why not play Forgotten Hope or Forgotten Hope 2 instead?
Interesting but leaves out some important information. For example, the article on Essen completely leaves out how Germans pwned British C47s with radio guided Wasserfall missiles and jetpack wearing stormtroopers and on Agheila they forgot to mention how it was actually the first successful deployment of attack helicopters in history.
I'd also like some more info on the connection between the Kbely UFO, nazi occultism, Vril society and of course their greatest invention - the magical infinite repair pad.
Not sure if it's the same one, but I too had an encounter with an annoying BFSoldier on RR+SW server yesterday (the same day you posted this). We were playing on Anzio and he kept following me around and team wounding for like 20 minutes. There was no admins on, so I baited him into killing me until he got autokicked.
Admins should keep a lookout for that little troll.
It all comes down to Natter vs Goblin; a flying death machine capable of wrecking all allied tanks (and then some) within the first 15 seconds of a match vs a flying jeep. And to make things worse, there's only 1 AA weapon on the map and it's on the German side.
Propositions on how to fix this? Give Allies at least one Flakpanzer spawn or if possible place at least one AA gun preferably on the center hill.
Another option would be to give Natter spawn to both teams.
-"Bu...but you can't just give axis weapons to allies, r..right?"
Well, we already have Flettners on Agheila, HO229 + Panzer IV on Kbely and I think Allies also get German tanks on captured Essen flags... at least I'm sure about that Panzer IV on the south. The point is, we can obviously pretend it's just captured goods so it's not a big deal.
Oh hi Paul, thanks for the reply. I clearly remember it used to be much more reliable and now it works as often as winning lottery. It would be really great if someone could fix that.
As for the idea to remove bots, I have mixed feelings about that On one hand they can be disruptive as hell, but the player count is also very low most of the time and some of the larger maps would feel kinda empty without them. And I've also noticed many new players don't even notice there are bots so they don't leave immediately upon seeing an empty server... which helps boost player count.
Perhaps it can be coded so bots are automatically removed only if the player count is above x?
Hello everyone, I just registered specifically to make this post. I've been playing on and off for years now but this has been bugging me lately - I clearly remember playing few years ago (though I'm not I'm not sure whether it was on your servers or somewhere else) and being able to take back vehicles from bots by using the "Bail out!" voice command. You could also make them stop by shouting "Wait!". But now this doesn't work and it makes playing with bots extremely frustrating, especially on maps like Cassino where they teleport into all the allied tanks in the first 0,01 seconds and the nearest flag is like 3 days of walking.
Would it be possible to implement something like that on Simple servers? If not, why? Does it have to do with Conquest/ Coop game modes?
It would greatly improve the RR+SW server which relies heavily on bots.
