Sorry but if you're the strongest man in your family and you force your little sister to have random people settle in her house where they can force violence upon her, and eventually either kick her out or just put a bullet through her brains I think she would have a right to celebrate if her big brother or the settlers get revenge from a third party.

After playing this game for 13 years, I think it is safe to say certain maps will not bring in more players. Even if you had let the server go to Midway or Kursk as you say, the numbers still would have went to 35.
Just admit you were setting Berlin and Stalingrad because they are your favorite, your clan has been doing it since the dawn of age on any server you can get admin on .

Admins such as Lector have a tendency to set their favorite maps way too often.
Lector, for example just last night set Berlin then Stalingrad then Berlin again. This is just after the night before he played 2 rounds of Berlin in a row. Last time I checked there are 21 maps and all of them should be played. If this continues either remove his admin or remove his maps ability..

i am trying to throw up a bfvietnam dedicated server, but it appears it does not want to work.
LAN works perfectly, however when I try to connect it to the internet it fails.. It says it fails to connect to the server's status port.
I have allowed it through firewall, ran as admin, ran compatibility, nothing works. I have tried it on 4 different machines, with many different versions of the server files.
The only machine it works on is this laptop I am on now, but it is not my laptop and I can not run a server on it =]
I have ran on 2 windows 8.1 laptops, only works on this laptop, in addition to a windows 2003 and windows 2008 server. nothing wants to work. i have no idea what to do, anyone know?

The qtracker list is always updating. If your server does not appear on the list for whatever reason then you simply download their file and install it, then it will appear.

That website would be great if it listed more servers. It only shows a few fake player DC servers + aX. Is it ran by the owner of aX? lol

Qtracker has been online since 1998. This is a long time. Qtracker will almost certainly never go offline.
Why did we all move to a master server that may be online for a few years at most? The owner of this master server did not even release a copy for the public to use. The man created a private master server and advertised it heavily. This man effectively owns Battlefield 1942.
We made a mistake moving to the aX master server, and we would be wise to move to Qtracker. A direct link which will update your Battlefield 1942 master server is below.
