does anything know or think changing the min CPU MHz would make a difference with performance in game?

just use your nose and find were the burnt smell comes from.. prolly power supply... pc would shut off before the CPU got that bad..you would loose video before the GPU got that bad too..

I would focus on turning off background programs that are running but not needed when you’re not using them.. for example google update. Java quick start.. turn off the anti virus when playing.. keep in mind laptops are underclocked for temperature management.. an i7 on laptop won’t run like an i7 on desktop. It would overheat. Doesn’t have the air flow..

yesI did the full install all 4 disks and the 1.6 update then< I did replace the old folder with the new and I got widescreen working but I have to mod my video.con file to the resolution I want, then it works, doesn't seem to work while using the in game setting, but doesn't matter it works.
I'm not using it because it a bit too grainy..thanks for you help...

Ok i installed the game then just replaced the new folder with the old one... game is working fine.. no wide screen if I try and change the display mode to whatever It just goes back to 1024 x 768 as soon as I hit save..

Never heard of it but I’ll take your word for it.. so download the battlefield 1942 v1.61 retail patched ?
one thing too I haven’t install BF for years just move the folder over to new comp/formatted hardrives and use the CD key changer then play from the folder..

its coming from the BF.exe because this is the same game folder with no modded .con files. just the BF.exe modded
This is same game folder and the original BF1942.exe from my back up and no modded .con files

This Ment is a total asshole. I was playing with him the other day and after I killed him like 4 times in a row.. he switched to my team and tked me 3 times until he got kicked..
I thought It was funny, I wasn’t mad but my team did lose because of it. this guys got a real problem when he gets beat up…he should not game if he’s going to go into a homosexual panic every time get owned.. and he never shuts the fuck up..

I know this thread is old ,,,,,,but I have been using BF 1942 portable for years. Just install game as normal. Then install the no CD patch. Play the game.. Then just go to C:\Program Files and copy the EA games folder to a flash drive. Move the folder to the desired computer. With the BF CD key changer put in your CD key and play from the BF1942.exe inside the folder. This won’t work with Road to Rome but will with all the other mods, DC final etc. All setting and names will go with the folder to the new computer.
