Just a few words about the modern art and culture. Here we have a guy that calls himself an artist. His surname is Pavlensky. Once he nailed his scrotum right at the Red Square in Moscow as a sign of protest to the authorities. He is an oppositionist.

He made a few more masterpieces afterwards. Here he is cutting his ear.

And then he decided to burn the doors of the Federal Security Service.

The only thing I know about him is the fact that he decided to shift to Ukraine, probably to establish himself in something new. He's working in Ukraine as an "expert in economics".

You're taught & surrounded by cultural teachings, stories, paintings, traditions, etc. growing up on a reservation. History is primarily spread through stories and songs. I won't bore you with songs because most others find them lame. I will share this story that in terms of cultural significance, is the most important to us. Also, you'll notice some similarities with other creation stories of other people/religions even though this was told thousands of years ago.
Ps: Obviously we don't take this literally. There's much more meaning behind it.

I spent a couple of minutes watching this and the only thing I didn't get is why these children are fat. They have to be poor and hence skinny if they fight for a coin.
Well its from 1885. My guess is the farmers then had plenty of stock food, but if you wanted something "extra" like candy you had to pay up. Cheap copies of this painting was everywhere for a long time.
