normally, since new server, my ping is 103 and dont move. yesterday and friday, ping 97 but sometimes, not often, move to 200... strange. He is not my connection.
That's a good question. I do not get any lag at all...granted I am close to the server but Russ gets lag at times and he is closer. No lag at all yesterday for me.
I think the silly things in the topic are a result of people thinking we are complaining about the same lag everyone gets online. This is different and it is not being caused by our home networks or wireless setups. It isn't malware on our PC's. This is 1) A Server Problem or 2) A Gateway between us and the server.
I traced the SiMPLE USA IP to Macon, Ga. I thought it was in LA. Does the server go through a proxy? It seems people on the West Coast USA are unaffected. People in Virginia and North Carolina are affected. This isn't consistent high ping. It is normal ping for about one second then 800ms and back to normal again. It looks like it is "high ping" but I think it is a lost connection or interrupted connection resulting in packet loss.
I did a latency test and a packet loss test to the IP address displayed in game. It shows obvious spikes or drops in connection.
For Example:
This IP addy or hop is having problems.
54.239.109.12 (located in virginia, usa)
Amazon Technologies Inc. AMAZON-2011L (NET-54-224-0-0-1) 54.224.0.0 - 54.239.255.255
Amazon.com, Inc. AMAZON-3Z (NET-54-239-0-0-1) 54.239.0.0 - 54.239.127.255
I am trying to solve this problem but I need help. I am not a networking guru and I do not have access to the server hosting company's tech support.

You can call them. Normally in the same country it's possible that they fix it. One way is also call your provider and tell them the story. But ask there for a chat with a Tecnician and send him the screenshot from the Traceroute.
There's a chance they help to fix it.

I have sometimes the same problem with a Hop to the simple server. But because it's another country, they can't help in my case.

Who do I contact and on whom's behalf? Amazon? I do not know the people who host our server.
...
Try first to call your provider, ask to talk with a tec. They know how to go on. (Prepare first a Screenshot or some that you can send them, while you are talking with him).

If you look at the TTL values, (if i remember this right) for every routing point the (original) value is lowered by 1
TTL or Time To live is just a thingy they made up so lost data packets wont echo around on the internet forever like ghosts.
Yours propably started at 64 http://subinsb.com/default-device-ttl-values
More info for the slight chance someone would be interested in TTL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_to_live

Do you have some Traffic shaping tools working besides? I had to deactivate XFastLan before some time.
I also recognized, when i used TCP Optimizer with adjusted Inet Speed over 85Mbit, that i had some some issues. If you have adjusted more then 85Mbit, then put it back to 85 Mbit, (even if your InetSpeed is faster then 85Mbit).

This rubber banding type of lag is cause by a gateway at 54.239.109.12. If you do a trace route and do not pass through this gateway you will not be getting this same lag. Anyone can ping this gateway for a few seconds to see the packet loss.
My ISP cannot do anything about it. They can't even route my connection through different IP addresses. The tech support agent said it may be possible to do some kind of port forwarding on the USA server itself but had no other technical advice.
Having run the trace route I do not go through this gateway and I am still getting horrible lag, my connection turns bad after 69.197.1.80 which is in CA?

My goodness, that was frustrating to watch. I found myself saying "hurry up, hurry up!", then I remembered I could fast-forward.
Nice desktop, btw what's that icon next to the running girl? Superflyingcheat.exe or something???
No, it's just scmpoo.exe. They look really similar so I can see how you'd be confused.
Please don't say poo around the monkey. You will notice...an obvious lack of cupcakes in the pictures....

You have 4 in latency and still gets disconns, its very hard to find info on there site but according to a review site they have "Tier-1 Network – Multiple 10gbps uplinks per location, 1gbps per server"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tier_1_network
Cant connect to server from about 45 min now, only me or ??
For those who are still having lag issues, please join manually to new IP 168.235.94.165. (thank you Oscar )
I noticed more Simple regulars have started showing up on MG. I hope this gets resolved soon. The last few times trying to play have felt a lot like.....

Thanks Oscar..there were several on yesterday that had to be reminded.....I noticed AK47 ping went from 89 to about 9 (hes in OC) when he signed off
and signed on with correct IP....
This question might sound stupid just like me, if I play whit latest ip I wont lagg anymore ok. But when I play against the ones whit old ip lagging crazy, is it possible they are more hard to kill because of the lagg they have???
..is it possible they are more hard to kill because of the lagg they have???
Sounds reasonable.
