Re: Camera wiew

just set camera views to CVFG keys, so that you can change them with one finger. Worked fine for me smile

Re: Camera wiew

Speaking of views, I've been unsuccessful at mapping them to the scroll wheel. It'd be really handly for tanks to scroll back to look rear, forward to look front. bf1942 doesn't seem to like this though.

Re: Camera wiew

If i get u right Dak u want to know if its possible to disable the one n keep the other view? I guess thats not possible, looks like u gotta keep all (the server-settings) or none..
E.g. im only using f9 (i guess f11) n f12 - havin them @ similar keys like Sonic, works great -, but tbh i really dont like the f12-flyby-view (although its totally usefull n absolutely n badly needed) as i think that its totally unrealistic.. therefore i would like to see that1 disabled n all the others enabled, but as said sadly this doesnt work, either one gotta disable all or none - afaik.. And if u disable all the prob is that u have the nose-cam only with that cockpit-view, but not with the crosshair-only-view, what makes it almost impossible to play it in a decent way..
If u know what i mean.. n if u meant that at all - idk, pfoockin engeliiish dooh x)

Re: Camera wiew

I am sure that it can be done by the RM ( full admin  MISC options ) so every players get the same view. Ex: Allow external camera view or nose camera in aircraft ect... If my memories are good they used to disable full nose cam in aircraft in old DP server when pilot was to good and it made it a litle bit more realistic.

PitViper or Tuya can answer me if they did try it or not ?, that was my main question.

Unfortunately BF1942 really needs nose cam and external views. There is no way to properly look around in a plane, especially not behind you. There's mouse look, but it's a bear to control, doesn't allow you to maneuver while activated, and doesn't let you look behind you. So you need the external views to see around you. Additionally, without being able to lean left or right and look down to better see what's below the plane, you really do need the nose cam.

I would really love a hack of bf1942 that enabled trackir support and 6dof for vehicles and planes, *then* disable external views...but that's never going to happen.

Re: Camera wiew

I think it's made that way to exclude bugged view through the walls and so on.
