With all the talk about mouse bugs and mouse pads, I thought I'd post a question about getting a new mouse! I'm looking for a new one. I used to have a Logitech mx310 but now use the Logitech m310. Basically the m310 is wireless with just the 2 buttons and a wheel. The mx310 was a wired one and had an extra button on each side. I really like the extra buttons so that's one of the reasons why I'm looking for a new one.
I really don't understand the DPI or the other weird stuff. I just want to know what would be a good mouse that's under like $50. I saw some at a couple stores for like way too much. I even saw one for like $199!
Another thing, I need an ambidextrous mouse because I'm an awesome lefty and like to use my left hand for the mouse!
Also, what type of mice do you people use?
first .DPI key on mouses is for increasing mouse sensitivity of mouse movement ,for example you are in a tank or ship or even on sniper try to HEADSHOT, this actions reduce your mouse cursor speed , and by clicking DPI key your mouse speed will be increased without changing any setting or affecting other conditions ,and this is my offer ,best one for lefties for under 50$ .its beautiful ,very light also ,hope you like it

im using a wireless 5 buttons one ,i use the side keys for parachuting and enabling mouse look in airplane except using shift

never liked those with hundred buttons, but i will definitely buy some to try.
I have this one more than 10 years working perfectly , but right button just start loosing contact , very bad when playing tanks
1) You must like how it looks.
You will see it every day! Don't wanna be pissed off
2) If possible to unpack, do it. Sometimes tactile expectations can differ from picture and you won't like it.
3) About DPI.
You press a button on your mouse -> sensitivity changes. From very low to MEGA. Sometimes usefull.
4) Many buttons.
It's usefull and you don't need to install drivers for them. It's just plug and play.
For example: I use this button for kit change in bf42. (Pointed red)
My mouse, if someone is interested:
P.S. Voji, your mouse is soooo granny
But I'm sure its comfy.
P.P.S. Abas'es choice seems decent!

OK, that made my day. +1
Thanks for the feedback peoples!
I went to this place and looked at the different mice. I found one for $25! I didn't buy it because I still want to do a little research on others.
The Logitech 300s is the one I saw: http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/produc … ming-mouse
Any opinions on it?
get anything at amazon or bestbuy or frys...try it out and send it back if you dont like it.
Sunshine,
I bought the Logitech g100s about a month ago and I am very happy with it.
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G100s-Op … B00BCEK2LK
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G300s-Op … ords=g300s
It doesn't have all those buttons but the specs for the g100s and g300s are very similar.
The g100s tops out at 500hz instead of 1000hz but I don't think that matters to much imo.
That looks like a very good deal on the g300s.

Monkey, the place I saw it was at a place that builds pc's and they're primarily geared toward gaming. Tons of hardware, pcs, accessories, etc. I was able to get my hand on it & check it out. Some of the mice are actually too big that it's uncomfortable :-/
Blade, I think I saw that one there as well. They were the same price (300s is on sale).
What does the hertz in mice mean?

hmm i bought a laptop mouse, they are smaller so easy to have with you. ended up being my favourite mouse so now its the only one i use.
the one i have the cable is short and no extra buttons, but amidextrious i guess as its conform, google m-u0017 if you want to check it out. im sure there more to choose from with more buttons and such
oh and i play with it to of course

Its prpably how many times per second the mouse scans for movements, looks nice as sale argument i guess. i wouldnt care unless maybe if i where gamer elite supreme boss of some kind or another

Very true bud from my experience.
From my use I see very little difference from a stock usb 125hz refresh to 500hz or 1000hz. (never tried 1000hz)
i don't even use the dpi button, I think it's better to just get use to Windows mouse movement and what feels good in the game.

Saw it too late
Buy one with an Pure Optical Gaming Sensor. No LaserMouse.
ADNS 3090, better later or newest Pixart Sensor..
No + or - prediction/accleration (mouseside), smoother movement then any LaserMouse, also very precise etc.
I allready made a post somewhere... here > http://team-simple.org/forum/viewtopic. … 319#p88319
...
The other new Pure Optical Sensors are: (Best Sensors on market)
> ADNS 3310
> Pixart PWM 3310
> Pixart PWM 3366 (built with Logitech, close the same to 3310)
> ADNS 3090 (was long time the best, until the newer models came out)
> Avago ADNS-S3095 (based on the ADNS 3090 for Logitech G400/G400S) Was also good, but outranged i guess.
> (Avago ADNS-S3988 (But this is a laser, the follower from 9800, but the faults from ADNS 9800 are fixed)).
...
Suboptimal Sensors (from the list, link): (I would not buy one mouse with one of these Sensors. They have faults. (Can be positive or negative prediction/accleration and faults in anglesnaping or jittering in some hz):
Avago ADNS-3050 (Pure Optcal but not entire failurefree, (Anglesnaping))
Avago ADNS-9800 (Pure Laser and Some faults).
...
If you buy a new mouse look first:
1. on the sensor
2. then the ergonomics
3. and then on the features. (most people don't use them anyway)
...
And yes, it's important to set the mouse to 1000Hz polling rate, (after reduce the dpi), but only if you have one, which works faultfree, like those sensors. And after use MarcMousefix as described in my post from the link to deactivate windows own accleration, there are 2 different acclerations in Windows, (since Windows 7).
http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.ch/2010 … n-fix.html
I also described the use of MarcMousefix on the post here http://team-simple.org/forum/viewtopic. … 319#p88319
...
As Mousepad i would recommend QCK+. It's cheap, very good, thin nano treated cloth, very, very durable and washable.
...
At last... me personally would never buy a wireless gaming mouse...

I forgot... perhaps all or at least some mouses with ADNS 3090 Sensor have one disadvantage. Only 800/1600/2400/3200/4000 DPI usable.
Newer sensors have 50dpi steps. If you found one mouse that appeals you in ergonomics, go and read a review from this mouse, to find out, if there is anything bad with it.

Anyone here of a brand called Zowie? I saw some today (FK1 & FK2) and they feel good in my hand. I saw this one by SteelSeries (I forget the model) that was really nice but it was too big. I just don't want to buy something and have it be shit a month later.
I saw this one... omg.. perfect for us awesome lefties... http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/produc … trum-mouse But no way I want to spend $150 on a damn mouse lol.

If you dont need a mouse with 11 programmable keys, you don't have to buy it. Except you have Games where you need it.
The fk2 has the new sensor and it's a bit different in weight and lenght, but only some mm and g
http://www.overclock.net/t/1534921/revi … -zowie-fk2
...
On this site http://www.pro-gamer-gear.de/maus-sensor/ , beside each list with sensors, you can find links to mouses with those sensors.
Meanwhile there are also new mouses on the market, but it's a possibility to see different mouses.
If you know the tests, you can find also a serious review in a language you understand.
...
But, it's anyway difficult to find the right mouse only through reviews. It's like buying shoes. You have to walk in them, before you buy them. Only a woman buys shoes from shops like zalando. A man goes still in the shop, because he wants first have a walk with them.
I don't wanna say, that i testet my mouse.. it's not possible. Only that because of pictures it's very difficult to be sure, that the mouse is not too big or tiny... too heavy or too light... etc.
...
But if you're comforable with the form of a zowie fk2, there is the best sensor inside, it's not a heavy mouse... and the rest you can read yourself...
...

...
You have to find out yourself, if the fk1 has another/older sensor. You will find a review of a fk1 in Inet. Otherwise feel free to ask, if you need more infos.
...
I forgot... The g900 looks somehow futuristic with its chameleon features, but i tell you something, ... at least it counts for me.
Its the same with shoes... You test it and you know if it's good or not. I don't buy shoes, with 27 possibilities to wear them.
Either they fit or not.
But... at the end, i do not have any personal expirience with those mouses. The g900 could be good as the fk2 could be.
...
The G900 is wireless mouse. Me, i wouldn't buy any Wireless mouse. But i'm a known Dinosaur... so, it is probably the best not listen to me...
...
As MousePad i wrote once QCK+, but this is a bit too big, (450x400x2mm). I have a QCK and this is 320x270x2mm (~10$).

I would not recommend going wireless for gaming ever. If you are looking at Logitech then have a look at this one http://gaming.logitech.com/en-gb/produc … ming-mouse
another very good mouse for gaming but a bit heavier is because it has a metal case is http://www.madcatz.com/products/mouse/
...
Those are not left handed... And MatCatz, arghh.. (This i meant with 27 ways to wear...and wth... 200$. I bet you can buy a mouse for 50$-70$ with a 3310 or 3366 Sensor and you have all you want.)

Here one example from zowies ZA mouse https://static1.caseking.de/media/image … 00x800.jpg for different big hands

Yeh, dont do wireless. Tryied a Logitech g700 wireless mouse, and noticed a small delay. Changed it into a g502 which is pretty awsome. I recommend that one and a large hard Logitech mouse pad. Oh Yeah!
