You can also create maps in 3D max or something like that, where you can use non standard bf42 objects.

I think Denny wanted to say you can add custom objects to the game using 3ds Max, but it's a bit different thing.
It's better to start with Battlecraft, get some skill and knowledge, then try Editor42 and other stuff
