Resolution changes after gaming.

Windows 11 Machine.
I use a 2560x1440p resolution (2k) on my monitor and a 1080p resolution in Battlefield1942.

After I game and exit, my desktop gets set to 1080p and I have to set it back to 2k again.
How to resolve this? Is there a patch or smth?

I'm using the uuuz gay color patch

Do you use Henk’s master server patch? I think it has a fix for the issue you’re describing. If you don’t currently use it I would give it a try.

I'm using a .bat script for restoring the resolution with a shortcut in taskbar, so it's a one-click solution in case the game screws it up after exit (happens not every time but quite often, Windows 10, bf42plus installed).

My script looks like this (Change resolution.bat):

@echo off
ChangeScreenResolution.exe /d=0 /w=1920 /h=1080

Shortcut:

Very simple, in fact it's just like a button "restore resolution"

Do you use Henk’s master server patch? I think it has a fix for the issue you’re describing. If you don’t currently use it I would give it a try.

I'm not sure about it. My game browser is working. I guest that means it's installed?

As far as I know, there is no fix, and it has been happening on all Windows versions, GPUs, screen resolutions and so on. So this may be the easiest solution available
