Hi, m'name's Blind,
and i'm your truck driver for this map.
I could greet you like this or something similar, but you may have read that before.
The °| APC manual |°°° or often referred to as Blind's APC Bible was first presented under the topic of the licences.
The book is part of the learning material for certain licences, you know.
Now, here is a quiet corner to recite some more from it's content.
Have a clear view of the map.
Committed team players are recommended to mark their squad with uuuz colours.
Each member in your platoon has a role.
Get an overview of your group's abilities and make your decisions dependent on the success of your comrades.

uuuz colours
The map above shows the Tobruk Axis APC with a crew of 3.
Please note that the squad consists of 6 members, but has no tanks assigned.
The original buddy colour "lime" is best for crew members.
the gunner/guard
pos 2 not visible on the map at that moment, pos 1 defines vehicles' colours
the driver/commander
wears an inconspicuous colour,
as a spawnpoint easy to find on map anyway
the Joker
dismounted crew (sniper, expacker, zooker, etc)
The infantry of the platoon:
regular trooper
(yellow on the picture above: reporting)
has a kit appropriate to situation,
works in tandem with the Joker
specialized infantry
they are often AT or Engineer,
and should be capable of transitioning quickly from attack to defence and back
elite infantry
(none around on the map here)
have a look at what they are up to,
often worth supporting them
etc.
This Tobruk scenario here has no elite tankers on in Axis team, and no tanks available for the platoon.
I would like to refer you to: Chapter III. 2 a) Armored columns

The mechanised troops in the German army are called Die Panzergrenadiere.
In the Second World War the Wehrmacht and the SS had them.
By the way, all our German Axis characters are Wehrmacht Sergeants (Feldwebel).
Easily identified by the shoulder boards.
This means we all are equal in rank.

So many players spawn into the APC and are like:
Oh, i am in a weird vehicle with a total stranger.
He's going 45 km/h and it's pretty bumpy. I better get out...
Silly boys, the truck driver is your friend, have faith in him.
Ok, I'm not saying you should trust him completely, but at least take a good look at where the journey is going,
before you have to walk halfway across the desert.
And don't worry, you will have your kills.
Go in packs, work together!
Make good and reasonable use of your F-keys.

Clever deployed APCs win maps, supporting one is worth it.
And yes, you shall get your kills.
Planes.
Nasty airmen. Some of them are just trained monkey loopers,
by all means, what was DICE thinking when they equipped the fighter planes with 15 bombs?!
Every honourable Rifleman has a hard time to replenish his ammo, while f °cken planes go rampage.
Anyway. The pro pilot is deadly accurate with every single load.
Planes.
The dedicated APC commander is vigilant and cautious, and has a close look on the map before changing position.
To evade and dodge planes is a demanding task, pretty exhausting indeed.
Support your APC by stealth, this saves energy and resources.
The APC's gunner position isn't always manned.
If it's up to you to be in position 2, don't friggin' shoot at anything that moves.
Don't give the position away. Think twice before opening fire to a plane.
In most cases you only have a few bursts with the MG to scare the crow away or feel its vengeance.
Goofs shooting at tanks with the APC machine gun should be court-martialled!
Positions 1, 2 and 3 are intended for a 2-man crew. Feel free to join and take over any of these positions,
but please listen to the APC commander.
Positions 4, 5 and 6 in the vehicle: Assault, AT, Medic, Scout - replenish your ammo and grenades,
get your morphine and bandage your wounds. Then go F5 F4 or F5 F3: let your APC know what you're up to.
Not every single soldier wears uuuz colours, and it is much easier to make decisions
without having to constantly count the comrades in the immediate vicinity of the APC with one eye...
Help the halftrack and it will benefit you.
Support your APC by stealth.
Do not negligently allow your spawn point to appear as an empty vehicle on the map.
Sometimes the truck driver is the only Engineer around and has to leave the driver's seat for repairs.
Armored Personnel Carriers have six positions, one should be manned at all times.
Have a quick look at the vehicle's health before leaving it.
F7 F1, probably the most ignored message. What a pitty.
APC commanders have many different tasks, more than you might think,
and some of them are only possible with your assistance.
As the driver of an APC only has very limited visibility, it could prove important for the team in many cases
if he can leave his seat for a few seconds, without revealing the vehicle's position.
Stay in the APC for a few seconds. Operate the machine gun or read the map,
while the driver/commander looks around a corner or secures a blind spot with a landmine...
Well then. Finally, you are truly a truck driver's friend when you do this:
Since the APC gunners are so easy to pick off, give 'em an extra chance with a small gesture.
Everytime before you leave position 2, bring the MG back on 12 o'clock.
I am absolutely serious when i say: this tiny little gesture can help win a map.

Hi all.
Probably every SiMPLE regular has contact with APCs.
Everyone spawns in them, chases and bombs 'em, crashes or commands them.
That means you all are characters in Blind's APC bible.
Xberg tried to sell a copy of the book to Karwsz for 500 DOLLAH.
Limited edition, of course. Hand-signed, and with a lot of bonus material.
I'm not sure if he accepted the offer.
Anyway. Flicking through the book, you eventually come to
This chapter contains all sorts of things:
Lists and tables, notes, postcards and pictures.
Here's a poster from one event, Battle of Britain.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
There's a handwritten note, a small piece of paper by an anonymous, which reads:
2 or 3 APCs can save the Brits.
Maj.MerliN, even with a skilled gunner, cannot.

Every dedicated fan of Battlefield 1942 should have a copy of this book in his/her library.
By the way, an updated version has a few passages highlighted with textmarker.
For example:
Since the APC gunners are so easy to pick off, give 'em an extra chance with a small gesture.
Everytime before you leave position 2, bring the MG back on 12 o'clock.
Alright, see you in game and F2 F7.
Cheers.

Are you a writer IRL Blind? Just curious.
"2 or 3 APCs can save the Brits.

WHAT DRIVELED HERESY IS THIS!?
I WON'T STAND FOR THESE PERSONAL ATTACKS WITHOUT REBUKE
*sweeps contents of Airman Officer desk away in a rage*

No, i'm a gardener. Most things i do, i do with passion.
Furthermore i am of a narcisstic nature.

This is worth more than most might think.

Air Force personnel. Bloated and degenerated. Must be the thin air all the time.
*shakes head*
Good stuff, Blindi.
You probably hate me for bombing your caviar-mobile so many times, but I must admit, that you are becoming a lot better in driving it and sometimes it's a real pain in the a$$ to get you. Not to mention the countless times you shoot back and I need to bail somewhere spontanious.
Moreover, he rushes into the attack defending his APS on a tank with a mine (the same as with a knife), he even killed me once like that (though I was distracted, but come on) I didn't expect this, I thought aps were cowards and sitting inside praying for mercy and salvation, but no blind fiercely defends his possessions.
Thank you, Serebro.
No, i don't hate you. But i hate the fact that in all these years nobody stood against this lunacy:
Planes.
Nasty airmen. Some of them are just trained monkey loopers,
by all means, what was DICE thinking when they equipped the fighter planes with 15 bombs?!

Yeah. APCs have pretty long spawntimes on some maps. The Hanomag on Tobruk for example: 12 minutes.
Ah yes, the other day i was at the Battle of the Bulge. As an American APC commander i tried everything
to attract skilled Bazookas against the mass of German tanks.

Weltenburger Kloster Bier "Anno 1050", according to Graizer and me one of the best beers in all ze werlt.
(Please get me right, all this effort in no-plane-maps only.) I managed to import a few kegs and crates.
Unfortunately Uncle Graizer just chat-spammed some and eventually disconnected. Silly Graizer.
Anyway, the girl on the pictures is true American: Betty Grable.
Ah, please notice - Xberg's ass cushion, fresh from the laundry. Keep your dirty boots off that seat, you hear me?!

Ok im feeling some deep seated resentment here, possibly even closeted, repressed sexual attraction over the gratuitous,
montage-worthy amount of times I dumped the load all the fuc over that sleek truckbed ass
resulting in jackpots of bukkake via high explosive
I'd do you justice by wearing you as a hood ornament...
...if I only had a leftover component big enough to mount...
...that came out wrong... or did it?
*smooch*

I don't know why, but I'm laughing at blind’s n Merlin’s shit, it's so dumb it's getting funny.
APCs are preferred targets on the battlefield.
High strategical and tactical value, light armoured spawn-points.
The enemy is eager and quite inventive when it comes to achieving score and even hitting the jackpot.
Of course there's a chapter in Blind's APC Bible dealing with the categorisation of risks.
This chapter is probably too boring for the public, but I would at least like to show you pictures.

Hi, m'name's Blind,
and i'm your truck driver for this map.

The battle for Wake Island this weekend provided excellent material for a further entry to
Axis forces already have set foot on Wake, they have access to a Chi-Ha, Ho-Ha and AA.
Allies have planes up and skilled pilots in team.
Darcano is always good to be the same colour as the truck under my command,
as he's among the top 5 APC hunters on SiMPLE.
Task for the M3A1 armored personnel carrier: keep supply lines short.
The picture was taken a few seconds after the recapture of the NORTH BASE.

Allies have lost control over the AIRFIELD, Hatsuzuki barrage proves to be quite devastating,
despite the fact that it's stray fire from close to the shore and without proper view.
Axis powers from the beach flag should be fended off, a proper defence should be organised.
Well, at this point the real danger for the truck are trolls and braindead.
72 players. Note the exposed Shokaku.
The buddy defending VILLAGE flag is SPEEDo, praise her conscientiousness, her sense of duty.
The weirdo in (5) is incognito, he busy ->(5) because 72 players.
Well, (5) and (6) in the APC are for licking your wounds or havin' a smoke.
Barely spottable on the map, Cpt.Karwsz by pedestrian, Northern entrance of our !base.
No idea where's Maj.MeriN around.
Side note: the M2 Browning .50 on top of the truck bolstered by two BAR can bring down a Zero really quick.
