It's been unusually hot weather here. Around 40C,  they say it's global climate change consequence.

In the United States, there are a lot of people that totally believe that climate change does not exist. They continue to believe this in the face of record breaking heat waves, hurricanes and city streets being flooded monthly in coastal cities like Miami due to sea level rise.
Just because they deny climate change, doesn't mean it does not exist. Climate change can't be wished away.

On the other end of that spectrum there are people who think every time the weather gets uncomfortable for them it's climate change. Who says which weather is "normal" for a certain area? There's been ice ages and even hotter periods.
The more serious problem I think is brainwashed people believing that weather can be bought away by paying tax and pleasing the weather gods wishes

A bit of war over here and a bit of "climate neutrality" over there - all sorts of fun can be haved with your money

Lol climate change is self-explanatory, tests of nuclear weapons, bombs, various experiments disrupt the climate, destroy the ozone layer. There have always been good snowy cold winters in my city (2000-2013), but during the last 10 years, God willing if the snow falls and lies for at least a few days, last winter there was no snow, the winter before last it went for 3 days somewhere on January 10, and so on.

I haven't seen a single firefly or scarab in decades. Future generations will only know roaches and stray cats.

I haven't seen a single firefly or scarab in decades. Future generations will only know roaches and stray cats.

I live in the US. State of Alabama. I grew up in a small farming community. As a child I spent my summer evenings catching fireflies. I remember going barefoot all summer long, and you learned quick not to walk through clover in the yard- it was teeming with honeybees.

Sadly the fireflies and the honeybees are gone-  I have recently saw mention of concerns about climate changes impact on fireflies- there is concern but not conclusive data as of now.

Honeybees are a different situation. Their decline is partially due to disease and to a larger extent pesticide related.

I went out into my yard into an area with clover- and there was not a single honeybee present. I did see two bumblebees.

In the US it is now big business carrying honeybees across the country to serve pollination duties in California's almond orchards. Pollination is such a lucrative proposition that stealing bee hives has become a popular criminal enterprise.

To an extent I agree. The Earth has experienced natural swings in temperature. For example the recent Ice Age period.

Climate scientist have demonstrated that CO2 is a heat trapping gas.  This test is easily demonstrated in the lab. 

As far as the hole in the ozone is concerned, the banning of fluorocarbons in the US and other developed countries has resulted in the size of the hole stabilizing and starting to close, however is is projected to remain open until at least the year 2050. 

One thing is certain- whether global warming is entirely man made, or a natural phenomenon - or likely a combination of both, we can be assured that it is really getting hotter.

The rubber as they say will really hit the road, when the temperatures becomes hot enough to disrupt agriculture-  and our coastal cities are being flooded.

Wars could eventually be fought over food.  There are no guarantees that countries that enjoy adequate rainfall to sustain their food needs, will be able to do this in the future.

Holiday?  What is that? I am fishing this summer. 28°c tomorrow. Have to fish at night so the ice don't melt. And hard work in this temperature is torture. Insects are back in the arctic. They came back last year. This year you see dead insects on cars again. What we should be afraid of is global cooling.

The climate is unstable, now I'm in my village 200 km south of the city, if it's hot in the city and 28-32 degrees, then here it's 15-18)

I'm planning a trip to Spain next month. It will be my first time visiting the country. I'm really excited to explore Barcelona - I've heard great things about the architecture, food and nightlife there. After Barcelona, I'm going to spend a few days in Madrid to check out the museums and parks.

GORGEOUS Blind!!!! I am envious!! And also live in small Town. (304 people) Was 158 people in 2016!
We got mountains not beautiful fields and rolling hills......
The mountains have their own majesty.

I'm sure you'll have a great time in Spain. Just make sure to try some tapas and sangria. I'd recommend planning out your days a bit so you can hit the top sights like Sagrada Familia, Casa Battlo, Cathedral. I was there 2 years back.
