More Freedom?

There once was a beautiful place where one could speak freely about a great many things. There once was a joyful site full of life and things of interest. It harbored splendid and vibrant topics.

Such subjects would never be allowed today by Paul. This place is now near extinct, due to Paul and his dystopian, restrictive, intolerant, and locked-down vision of what an online community should be. Now people are supposed to behave like suppressed robots without emotions, without a voice, with extreme narrowsight, only focusing on one thing. Bravo Paul, goal accomplished.

PS. Don’t expect any noteworthy criticism from all the lower-ranked admins and members here. They all know you’re the chief, and what happens to those who stir and rattle too much.

Would you prefer a more open, vivid and less restricted Simple forum?

I haven't been on the forum and in the game for a while, and upon my arrival I noticed some dissatisfaction among people here, it is mentioned in a couple of topics, whether individuals are creating a problem with imposing their will or there has been a saturation of the various rules set earlier, I cannot determine exactly  , but I can safely say that bf1942 is not the game I have played since 2002-2003 when it was made, nor are the players now what they used to be, I have always been more attracted to this game than the tactical shooters of that time like cs1.5-1.6.  I think that this game is ruined by modifications and rigid rules since it was made, it can't be for everyone a tank, jeep or plane, you have to earn and save all this when you get it and use it for your team's goal and common victory, not for  personal promotion and statistics because this is a team game, but unfortunately we look more and more like lone commandos in the game... The charm of Berlin was in the existence of grenades and explosives, el alamein in the number of planes compared to other maps, the goal of capturing the flag was played more often  in which personal stats were not important ... it seems to me that pure bf1942 was more interesting.  In any case, find a solution that will benefit you more instead of attacking or insulting each other.

Caltech here you have the same question formulation the yellow press (illiterate journalists) you deliberately subconsciously force people to choose what you need, presenting it as an imposed "bright" server and a "limited" server, of course people will not like being limited. Personally, I do not like such a server where filth, vile conversations, insults to nations, gender, origin are everywhere, there is a rule of behavior on the server and in the game prohibiting this, however, I see how even admins violate it. The best solution is for admins to stop being hypocrites and follow the law-abiding rules, or open these rules and create space for everything. I think that due that way even more people will bring then, because most of modern communities loves dirt and shit and everything derived from it and does not like conservatism

Am I missing something? I haven’t seen Paul crack down on any of the buffoonery on the forums. The inmates of this asylum are free to roam about as far as I’ve noticed. He mentioned on Discord that he thinks politics shouldn’t be discussed in the game server, but nothing about the forums or Discord.

If  you think moderating the fringes of speech is the cause of this forums downfall then I’d like to invite you back to planet Earth, but something tells me your head will remain in the clouds.

In general, I'm a free speech absolutist, but unfortunately we've seen many cases where a conversation turns into a "lively debate" which then turns into people just bitching at each other about various other things and making unnecessary personal attacks.

The end result of all the hard, locked restrictiveness which Paul instated two years ago when he took over, is that people (players) leave. it’s as SiMPLE as that. If Simple is to be brought back to its former glory, we need to have a softer, more forgiving, more supporting policy, instead of punishing, ejecting, and excluding players. Both here in forum, Discord, and in the gaming servers.

As an example, how many admins have either had their rights removed or given them up since he became head admin? 20, 30, 40 admins?

Some of these may still have admin rights, some may never have had, but I still see at least twenty. This is a big number and too many. Admins are potentially in-game seeders and building blocks, boosting the servers. It’s evident, that instead of trying to keep players and admins in this tiny 20-year-old game, Paul prefers to get rid of people, thereby hurting Simple and BF1942.

There once was a beautiful place where 000 could mess with the whole community, trolling and dissing around, breaking rules when he thought no one is watching and making his goal to upset as much players as he could. He could target skilled players who took what he thought was his gold medal, write toxic and hateful posts and show up his narcissism and obvious napoleonic complex on this joyful site - joyful maybe for you but not for everyone else who had to witness your toxicity. You lost the touch with reality a long time ago, for way too long you were allowed to do what you want and when a team of admins, including me but not only me, took ownership and made you accountable for your very own actions according to the rules(both in game and on forum), you suddenly say your freedom is limited but freedom is not flaming and trolling and not having to respond for that but quite the opposite. Freedom means you knowing that each your action has a consequence and being responsible for it, which is something you never did but instead chose to blame others when caught in the wrong.

Everyone in my eyes shall have a voice and an opinion, but if you use your voice to troll, flame, insult and hate others and cant be asked to have a somewhat civil conduct you should not blame forum moderators, but only yourself. I am strongly against pushing political views on this gaming forum, especially in a hateful and discriminatory way, and majority of admins and players thinks the same whether you like it or not, because unlike you we are here to play and not to mess with others. Topics that get heated quickly and that spread toxicity and hate shall not have place on a healthy gaming forum, and especially now when SiMPLE is bleeding players we have to focus on things that keep us united and not on what makes us hate each other.

By the way, why are you trying to hide behind a VPN and a fake identity?

If what I wrote about 000 in your eyes is valid for other players too that does not mean that I am being hypocritical; that also does not mean these players get away with their actions but quite the opposite and if you really cared about facts you would have known that Merlin has served several bans that were fairly appropriate for his actions; however he is not hiding behind a fake identity telling lies about administration that allowed him to play expecting him to stop messing around with players and rules

Seriously. I’m sincerely concerned about the current crisis of Simple. I hope the ship can be turned around towards better times with more players. But it may already be too late. Too much damage done to the core of Simple already.

If possible, it could require sacrifices. Are you willing to be more lenient in the future?

No lies here, just opinions and criticism.

Any comment on the 20-40 admins removed?

20-40 admins? Why not a thousand? If in your opinion I removed Nameless and 80% of admin team do you imagine what can I do to you? That's probably why you created this profile, still didn't help you did it. Also you knew that if you started posting this crap under your regular profile you would get flamed by several community members.. By the way half the admins you mentioned still have their admin rights and I saw most of them playing over last 2 weeks, you should come to server to say hi to them they will be happy to see you too and certainly appreciate your concerns about SiMPLE. You can also contact each admin from your brilliant list and then maybe I wouldn't mind answering your questions, but you better check your facts too before you embarass yourself again.

Also show me where did I ever eject players or discriminate them as you said? Under this administration bans became generally shorter, minor offences are treated with warnings and kicks mostly and only sometimes short bans, we unban whoever appealing his ban sincerely except for cheaters - in which reality do you live? I also rarely use bans and mostly warn and kick, everyone knows that.. I'm always lenient to players, but I certainly won't be lenient towards you - you should not have messed with this community for so long.

In one thing you are right - Killer and ComBat deserved a chance back then when they were removed, some harsh bans shouldn't have cancelled their positive impact on server (btw some of these bans were towards you). Let’s see if they will want to be on board again for when you come back maybe. Peace
