Why are there so few RtR maps being used on the server?

Wondering why there are not more of the RtR maps like Gothic Line, Santa Croce and Anzio not being used. Looks like they are being excluded and reducing the variety of available maps.

Gothic Line is from SW. Most RTR maps are subpar compared to SW maps.

Hello and thank you for your interest ..

since we unfortunately have a lack of players at the moment and the bots don't work as they should, we had to remove the maps.

the bots use the vehicles to start and there is no chance of leaving the base with vehicles.
to avoid further trouble we unfortunately had to act like this. but if enough players are present, the maps will be activated from time to time.
we will take care of this problem very soon to make it even more interesting for everyone involved. We're working on it.

Gothic Line: unbalanced.
Santa Croce: the base of 2 teams are too close
Salerno: map too big and can't spawn on the middle point which is boring

I posted on this just now but didn't see this thread. It makes sense - to a degree - but I don't think 'lack of players' is a reason. Bots steal vehicles all the time (esp. Cassino/Essen) so it's not like we aren't used to this problem.

I would urge the admins to consider re-instating some of these maps, I have fond memories of them and they were often fun in spite of some of their flaws.

Just asking, is there a way that the missing maps show up in the votes but can't run by themselves ?
So that only a vote can open them ?

Unless EA has something planned for 20 years, (which won't happen since they won't even support a fan made master server) then a lack of players will only continue to be more of a problem in years coming. It doesn't mean we can't have fun. I always enjoy Simple because it plays all the maps. Remember, a lack of maps did not keep aX from dying.

When I had 6 or 7 populated servers at once, I always heard "this map kills the server and people leave"... yet I never found any proof of it. Often it would be said at odd hours of the night when everyone would go off to sleep, so no matter the map -- the server would have emptied.

and then there is the question of whether you really only want bots as infantry, because that could be pretty boring bombing a line of infantry.
