I just wanted to ask if anyone here is using the Waterfox browser and what the advantages are over the regular Firefox browser, if any?
no technical advise,but:
It appears that the Waterfox web browser has been sold to System1 recently, the same company that bought the Startpage search engine some time ago. To be precise, Startpage was bought by Privacy One Group Ltd which System1 owns. System1 is an advertising company that tries to "make advertising better and safer, while respecting consumer privacy".

have a nice day
I've been using it and the only reason was more privacy, it seemed. Most Firefox add-ons work here as well. Never been a fan of big companies products.
Here's what they say "The browser is all about balance of privacy and useability. Too much focus on privacy and the web becomes too broken to use. Too little and data leakage happens."
"System1 now own Waterfox, but Alex Kontos is still leading the direction of Waterfox and will be for the foreseeable future."
There's a good article to read: https://spyware.neocities.org/articles/ … assic.html
Thank you guys for your input. I am going to read that stuff now.

hmmm
Anything can be spyware if you use default settings.. Settings are there to be tweaked for user prefs. Firefox and its forks also have ''about:config'' where you can do even more.
If anyone wants privacy then the Brave browser is the way to go.
It was create by Firefox original creator before he was outed by Mozilla for being to pro-White.
Diversity is our strength!
