You will be missed Rowdy Yates...

Hello my friends, brothers and sisters, acquaintances, and strangers,

Sunday, May 5th, 2019, we lost an old ATF Companion, Glenn Manly aka Rowdy Yates.

Rowdy lost the battle to liver and kidney cancer. His heart couldn't take it.

Rowdy and I met on ATF -the best damn family- about 15 years ago when the BF42 Divi was off and poppin.
I soon discovered that he lived and worked (often the same place) about 30 minutes from me. That's when I decided to stop in
and introduce myself face to face. I'm so glad I did. We became great friends over the years to come, and I was happy to introduce
him into my circle of friends. We played a lot of Texas Holdem and shared many laughs and good times.

Rowdy Yates is a household name in my life now and I miss him dearly. I knew he was dying and I only wish I could have said a proper goodbye.

For anyone in the SoCal area this week, his service information is below.

awww im sorry to hear this .. I loved his random phone calls at odd hours he was great to talk to .. I will miss his voice

Another of the good guys gone this is indeed sad news, had many a good game with Rowdy.

My condolences as well,

I heard that news already, i think about two days ago, RIP... these are moments trolls should realize this community is not as cold and useless as you might think.

Life is short... i lost two bf1942 friends already in the "old clan days". Please friends and enemies... we can use our time in a pleasant way or not...  i have my reasons to react strong to people who show no respect.

Go figure...

Oh no.. i just remember.. Larry Tate passed away as well...

The population on BF1942 is getting thin... :-(

What also strikes me is that this server here SIMPLE is good quality...

But AX is always on top while MANY people misbehave and complain there...

Here is drama as well.... but anyone can tell here the skill level is way higher (and more fun for the PRO's)

I dont get these stats...

Whatever... in memory of the fallen hero's i would like to silence myself for now.

Although i havent met Rowdy that often in game i ofc remember him, he for sure was a great guy.. Many of us know how it feels to lose a good gaming-buddy, let me mention BFO Black Smith and Sneaky Pete on this occasion, its so brutal to know that we never will play again together with those who are gone.. Even harder when they have become real-life-buddies like he was for u GoodDay, im sorry for ur loss.. Yee lets hope that we will meet them again on the other side! RIP all yas Mates!
