Failed to connect to server

Hi guys, I guess you are tired of reading this issue, but I really don't know what else to do but ask for your help.
I can't join any server since a couple months ago. I doubt I'm banned but I don't know where or how confirm that, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game a lot of times, download the v.1.61 and 1.612 from the website (I don't really understand very much about how to update this patches or whatever they are), updated the servers list, etc.
I just can't connect any server.

Didn't want to bother you guys but I don't know what else to do.

Thnx nämeless, but didn't work! I did what you said even reinstalling the game, but still no luck.
Any other suggestion?

Sorry ANDROCLES i haven't been around much. So maybe i missed something? What is exactly what happens when u try to join?

To find out if you are banned you should post here your ingame nickname:
(and time/date maybe if possible)

Is this the only server where you cannot join? Are you talking about the R2R server or the general server?

But i am not sure... maybe you also posted your problem under another name? Admins here really need more details. Sure people can be banned also by mistake (doesnt happen a lot but people make mistakes u know that).

Anyway stay here until the problem is fixed. Don't be an addict like us man!

so...

1 what is the error you see when u try to join?
2 only this server?
3 R2R or the normal SIMPLE server?
4 your ingame nickname (exactly please)
5 maybe time/date since you been banned

and

last.... anything changed after you couldn't join anymore? Updates? Installed mods?

Hi guys, ok lets see:

- My InGameUserName was:  ANDROCLES    = ARG =
- Now that you ask, I moved out from my home and had  a new router! Can be that a problem, right?
- I can't connect since November to any server from the list (Simple, Ax, etc.)
- Every time I try to connect, it says FAILED TO CONNECT TO SERVER
- I don't think I've been banned, because I never had, but if you can tell me, I'll be very thankful!
- And I've been a BF1942 addit since 2002 hahaha

Thnx for the help!! I'll keep waiting and looking for the solution till I/we found it!!

Your english is fine.

You are most likely not banned. "Failed to connect" to any server indicates your installation or internet connection has a problem.

If you compare your server connect screen with the above. Do you have version 1.61? (bottom left of screen).

And is the AX and SIMPLE server bright green or grey in the listing? Re-install a different download/version... not the same.

Is the server ping from AX and SIMPLE available? How much is the ping?

Try using the 'ADD SERVER' option then putting in the ip address of the server.
That's the only way I can join Simple or Ax these days.
Trying to join through the browser doesn't work for me.

In that case u can also make a shortcut on your desktop:

command:

c:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe +restart 1 +joinServer 94.23.196.155:14567

to join aX server

and

c:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe +restart 1 +joinServer 163.172.13.221:14567

to join SIMPLE server

(try this from the command line first... wonder if it helps)

I have the same problem today. I don´t think it is related to ISP since I can connect to aX.

If u can connect to =aX= but not here first check if you are not banned (by accident or otherwise).

Hi guys, first of all, I want to thank you for the help and the ideas.
I've finally fix the problem after a lot of searching.
This topic ( http://team-simple.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6096 ) gave me the solution thanks to @Trench.

What I did in my case was entering to the configuration of my router Sagecom Fast 3686 and changing the Local IP Adress to 192.168.0.1. It was 192.168.0.6, but I don't know if it helped in anything.

(I didn't understand very good how to insert a image but I'll try. Correct me please.)

Then I turned the router IPv4 Firewall Protection to ON, save the changes, entered the game and all the pings were 99999, so I turned the Firewall of the router OFF again, entered the game and worked perfectly in SIMPLE and AX.

Local IP has nothing to do with it.

So it is working now because I enabled and disabled de router's Firewall?
