Estonia's 100th anniversary

Today, on 24th of February, 1918 the Republic of Estonia first declared it's independence.
We are only one million and it is rather a miracle that we have our own country. Through centuries, the land of Estonia has been under the control of other nations and occupied numerous times.

As history tends to repeat itself, we are going to have to fight for it again not very far in the future. Right now, we must appreciate the privilege of being free.

Considering the total dependence of current independent Estonian government on US and EU, the Estonian independence sounds like oxymoron. Just another lord over this piece of land.

I am pretty sure there were no football clubs in the year 1100 and before.. but I know you meant the country as it is today.
We couldn't be a country completely on our own, that is obvious. It is all about the allies, which is all a better case than a near dictatorship that is keeping the life quality down.
