I am all for disabling the bots. However I cannot vote, it gives me a "wrong format" error.
So what is the outcome of this? The bots is added code in conquest, so there is not like there is any on/off button to press.

These bot lovers (whom apparently play with one hand on the keyboard and the other hand eating while talking to their friend or watching television, as that's all it takes to play against bots) non-stop keep bringing up the "silent majority" in this nonsense.
Of course, 95% of players are always silent. That will never change. Yet they expect them to speak up.. obviously no one cares or they would say so..

A felon?

Thanks for that informative post Bud.
I hate to be such a shmartass, but the on/off button IS there, join a another frick'n server.
Any news Paul ?

Lol yeah thats one solution i just thought i mention it because tuia has to do some trickery for it to work. Dunno if one could just rotate a symlink for the levels folder with a cronjob somehow, that would be the niftiest solution i think.
..There is an on/off button to press.. it's just the admin's never ask the players, and the players never respond, which causes a build up of pain for the one's that want to play with no bots, every once in a while.. it's not like the server isn't already 99% bots on..
Yes i know, i posted the code for it and how to apply it. What i meant is that there is no way to turn off bots for the whole server, you have to do it every time a new map start. If you want them totally off for a weekend, you have to find some solution to that and that is something only tuia can do, be it manually trixing with files or automated via scheduling of some sort. Either way its tricky.

Until the codes modifications may be should admins turn off bots at the beginning of each map when connected on week-ends ?
Its up to admins decide if there are conditions to disable the bots on RtR SW and then ask the other players, at least in my opinion.
About the nobots weekend: Tuia said we have to wait because the servers settings are being modified, so please be patient guys.
Paul
Hope tuia will be, as ever on technical points, efficient.
The absolut easiest and quickest way to make this happen is to have two identical servers (copy/paste two folders), one with bots and one without bots, all settings ports and such the same, then someone with enough rights have to stop one server and start the other at the right time etc.

yes, shut off a populated server and then go play conquest on a second server which will have 2-3 players.

I wrote the exact same settings, meaning it will be an identical twin with same name and everything else even look the same in the ingame server browser, favorites etc.
Only difference would be no bots. Why was this so hard to understand?

..apparently you are having difficulty of understanding, not me. Lol.
Go ahead, create a second server that is exactly the same, everything.. do it. Let's see how many people join it -- even if you shut the other off.
That will never work. Very few people actually "update" their server list, they only refresh and once the offline server would then give a timed-out ping. Nice try, getting angry over nothing, lol.

One more time, "the same exact settings (exept the bots that is "hard-coded")" means nobody have to refresh any server browser because it would show up in the same place as the standard server.
Same Ip, same ports, same name. Nobody would ever notice anything except the bots would be gone. I dunno how to explain this any easier way.
then someone with enough rights have to stop one server and start the other at the right time etc.
Maybe its this centence that is unclear, i wrote the easiest way because it would be manual, meaning somebody has to time it with the stop/start because both servers cant bo on at the same time as they would have the same settings (duh)
Maybe tuia could automate things, but thats is more complicated and timeconsuming to set up.
We are still nowhere on this subject, aren't we?
Thanks for explaining.. consider me a little stupid, lol.
Any news?
