it's currently 28 deg science at midnight. And 65% RH just in case you thought it might be bearable
You get used to it after a few years.
-20 c and lower at night. the only time when its actually cold this winter. the diesel powered land cruiser needed help from my friends beamer
Looks like the photo has been taken somewhere in the historical part of my city and it confused me a bit.
It's been 80 here (26 celcius). It never snows here so it's lame and boring.
But back home in the UP they have actually had a warmer than average winter. -5 right now there (-20 celcius). The temps bounced up to about freezing/slightly above for a little bit awhile ago. But due to the lack of brutal cold for a long period of time, the big lake hasn't froze much. That means more snow! 210 inches so far (533 centimeters)! February and April shall bring loads! Quite possibly over 30ft total (914cm)!
People talking about having hard times getting cars started in this and another thread, why not have an engine block heater? They are fantastic!
great to hear theres normal winter at least somewhere in this world. the lack of snow here destroys the fun with cars aswell.
yes sun, there is an engine block heater (webasto) on the cruiser. the problem is that when the battery is dead due to cold weather, its not gonna help anymore and your gonna want to charge it. i tried to start it few times and doing so drained all what was left of that battery. diesel isnt helping either in cold.
You need to get one of those thermal wrap things for your battery! My truck never started during the dead of winter unless i had both engine block heater & thermal wrap thing plugged in. Mother nature can be very difficult -.-
and this is the result
OMG ! Now thats Cold Blooded.
But how exactly does the weather affects the connectivity ?
just another normal day for me
Wow.
What does all that mean? I've seen a tew post that pingblotter stuff.
Jime1, weather can have big impacts for some people! My connection before i moved would always disconnect or a jumping ping during snowy or rainy and even just windy days. Not fun.

That must be so true if you have a wireless broadband connection !!?

That program list the connection points between you and for example simple server, then it sends a "ping" (its a request for data) to each of those connection points. Then it counts how many answer it gets back, if less then it should be the program consider the data as "lost" (send 100, get 60 back = 40% loss). There is a lot more to it, but in general its not good for gaming.
In some places the only internet you can get is throw telephone lines. Moisture is not good for electric insulations and can cause the signals to be corrupted.

It's DISGUSTING here. High 80's/90 and very high humidity. This weekend and next week it's in the 90's and next weekend is supposed to be 102 and 103 (about 39C)! I've been swimming almost every day because of this shit!!
Back in da UP... they had over a foot of snow 2 weeks ago!
