Sorry for the late answer, HoOK. First you have to download BF1942 Server v1.6 and install it. Next, download BF1942 Server Update v1.61 and run it. Now, you have the server files of the latest version (v1.61) installed in your computer. Go to your Battlefield 1942 Server directory, by default it's in C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942 Server, and double click DedicatedServer.exe. Select your Server name, Password, if you want, Time of each map, Maximum Number of Players, Rounds per map, etc. Next, click on the Mods/Maps tab and select the maps you want to run in your server by clicking the Add button. Check out the other tabs Gameplay and Advanced, change some values according to your preference. You don't need to change in the IP Settings tab, unless you wish to modify the default game port 14567. After you're done changing your server settings and selecting the maps, click the Start Server button and it should open a black box with some information, that's the server console. You now have your server running and your friends can connect to your public IP address, if you have outgoing port 14567 opened in your home router.
That is the trickiest part, you need, most probably, to open outgoing port 14567 in your router's firewall, so any player from outside your network can join your server. You can check this site http://portforward.com/english/routers/ … rindex.htm for some help. After you manage to open the port 14567 to UDP traffic, you may wish also to open port 23000 to UDP, so your server is listed in the in-game Gamespy server list and in other tracker websites.
Another program very handy to install is BFServerManager, which has lots of features to administrate your server.
You may be overwhelmed by all this information, but it's not that hard running your own home dedicated BF1942 server. The best way to learn is by doing. Good luck!
Thank you very much tuia
1)I have some question, if i disable my firewall other people can join on dedicated, is it then also listed in game list of servers? or i still need to open port 23000?
2)Can origin players join too if its in game server list?
3) And also, is there posibility to make my admin rights in this dedic.server work with « » signs?

If you disable firewall all ports will be open. For Battlefield 1942 server, by default, you need to open port 14567 for players to connect and port 23000 for GameSpy queries, to show your server in the game list.
Origin players can join your server, if you run a BF1942 server with version 1.612, so they see it in the game server list.
Admin rights to work with those characters, you have to use BFServerManager v2.0 final and not v2.01.
How can i put battlefield server manager for linux as system service, i mean to load bfsmd automatically when linux start up? Also need explain about command bfsmd -pid and -daemon? And how to make two BF1942 servers on same linux machine, both managed by server manager?
Any answer?
wait for tuia answer.........

An easy way is to use crontab to run bfsmd at reboot. Type crontab -e and add to crontab file at the end for example:
@reboot /path/to/bfsmd -path /path/to/bf1942server -ip IP.AD.DR.ESS -port 12345 -adminlog -restart -start -nodelay -daemon
Change paths, IP address and port accordingly, of course.
Use different ports for more instances of BF1942 servers and run a bfsmd for each server.
crontab working:) then
Can be this for first server and second server
#crontab -e
@reboot /usr/bin/bfsmd -path /home/korisnik/bf1942 -ip 192.168.1.3 -port 14667 -adminlog -restart -start -nodelay -daemon
:wq
#crontab -e
@reboot /usr/bin/bfsmd -path /home/korisnik/bf1942_2 -ip 192.168.1.3 -port 14668 -adminlog -restart -start -nodelay -daemon
:wq
Why is the player's PB GUID viewed through remote manager v2.0final and v2.01 shown as unknown? On the Linux server I installed PB ver. FE17, a client that connects to the server has the latest version of PB?
Solved. Some files on server was missmatch or corrupted. Is the latest PB version for linux v1.056 | A1320 C1.056???

If it's in your Lan > Router > Add virtual Server > (Choose your IP from your Server in the Lan) and add the needed ports to the rule, then restart your router.
Easiest is Dlink, they have an separat option "Virtual Servers". Complicatest with Zyxel, but also possible.
