This is sad. I skipped around in the video, so I may have missed it, but how did the Irish language become a "dying" language? Did England force it or was it natural?

They seem to have chosen that path themselves, that's what the video suggests. I'm not an Ireland expert though, people might disagree. Also I don't know how old the video is and what has changed in the meantime.

I believe that Irish schoolchildren learn Irish in school and if the language is unsuitable for daily communication and the government propagates the language forcefully, it usually has reverse effect.

Slovak is my favorite slavic language.

Sometimes it's referred to as the ''slavic esperanto'' because every slav can understand a large % of it.

A very good documentation with great pictures.   (German and englisch).

In the primeval forest of the Swiss Jura at 1500 meters is the biggest super colony of ants worldwide.

1000 Nests with together 1 billion ants. 

The surprise, each nest has several hundreds queens and all 1000 nests work together and are also connected by several roads.

On the other side of the mountain, 1 km away, the ants there fight each other, nest by nest., ... every year again.

Perhaps the biggest computational challenge is that you can’t just do a simple first-order simulation of the lensing. When two black holes are visually close to each other, light from black hole A can be distorted by black hole B to the point that it is twisted back to black hole A.

The simulation was run on the Discover supercomputer at the NASA Center for Climate Simulation and took about a day to complete.
