You can still use free Upgrade with any Windows 7 version.
After that you have 30 days to go back. Otherwise the key is used for Windows 10 and you can't go back.
Even possible to make a fresh Installation with a dl Windows 10 with a Windows 7 key.
Otherwise a Windows 10 Pro costs around 10$

It says its registered so no problems i guess, also use the same key in my win 7 machines and so far nothing happened. I know at some point i have to give in and use win 10 anyway, so might as well do it now.
One thing that is a problem tho, the value of our currency has dropped alot against other currencies, especially the us dollar, and everything is already expensive here. Cheapest win 10 licence i could find is 43.74 USD https://programvara.se/product/microsof … 32-64-bit/

We have it here for 10$.
But it's a Volume License. (It's legal here in Europe).
I had never problems to activate it.

Bad news for Intel 9000 Serie CPU's
The "new" hardware-based defenses from those Intel 9th Generation is not working as it should. Those 9th Gen CPU's are even weaker to Fallout then all previous Intel Generations.
PDF File > https://www.overclock.net/forum/attachm … 1559333947
...
Fallout affects all processor generations we have tested.
However, we notice a worrying regression, where the newer Coffee Lake R processors are more vulnerable to Fallout than older generations.
With Fallout, we demonstrate a novel Meltdow-type effect exploiting a previously unexplored microarchitectural component, namely the store buffer.
The attack enables an unprivileged attacker to leak recently written values from the operating system. Furthermore, we demonstrate how Fallout allows to break kernel ASLR with 100% accuracy within 0.27 seconds.
While Fallout affects various processor generations, we showed that also recently introduced hardware mitigations are not sufficient and futher mitigations need to be deployed.

Why?
I read CPU's going to 5ghz boost now.
...
GlobalFoundries wrote this, yes, (the possibilities of 7nm, months ago), but due their 7nm production is underutilized, they shut it down and procude now only 12nm APU's for AMD.
Only TSMC is producing AMD's 7nm CPU's.

Hihihihi, ... AMD let Intel @5Ghz behind (Measured at 1920x1080, (in higher resolutions anyway)).
https://www.pcworld.com/article/3401086 … nance.html
But the real interesting thing is the Windows 10 1903 Update. (Because it speed up also Ryzen and Ryzen+)
"As of the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, AMD said optimizations to the operating system will dispatch work to adjacent cores on the same die first, which will greatly reduce latency. AMD also said the May 2019 Update will bring faster clock ramping in its chips. With previous builds of Windows, AMD said it could take around 30 milliseconds for the CPU to ramp up to higher frequencies. As of the update (and with a new chipset driver) it’ll take just 1 to 2 milliseconds for the chip to reach its top speed. These fixes give some games a boost of 15 percent, while the faster clock ramping can yield 6-percent improvements."
...
There's another thing, .... TDP.
TDP on AMD CPU's means the it takes as example 105 Watt (Zen2) at normal function of the CPU, incl. Boost Speed, or let's say on it's Top Performance stage.
TDP on Intel CPU's is allways the number at BaseClock of the Intel CPU.

First review of the smallest, cheapest Ryzen 3xxx, the x3600 6 Core + SMT on a x470 Mainboard.
Looks not bad

i was able to boot th O.S from an usb port because for me it causes problems with the sd card reader, it has already wasted me 2 16 gb sd cards, in a raspberry pi 3 model b i´m using now a 8 gb, Raspbian O.S based on Debian.
by the way Raspberry pi 4 came out
it has:
-it can have 4 Gb of Ram
-2 micro hdmi ports (2x 4K displays)
-more powerful processor

if i´m not wrong the ryzen´s works better using only dual channel ram at high frequency.

Ryzen 3000 and x570 supports Memory speed over 4000mhz.
But the best is 3733 or something around there and for higher clocks a divider is used, which results in a bit higher latencies.
But still higher clocks with lowest Timings is the best yes. (1:1 without a Divider).
But also on x470 the supported Memory speed will be faster.
...
Btw. The best thing on that Bench from the Ryzen 3600 with it's Power are the used 65 Watts.

i want to buy a console killer: and this is one of the cheapiest thing i found
Cpu: i7 2600
Mother board : the one that comes in optiplex 990 MT
Ram :8 gb DDr3 1333mhz
PSu: 600- watt EVGA
GPU: RX 580 8GB
External storage hdd :1 TB
But i still have to wait until project scarlett and ps5 arrives to see if i have to do a change in my list.
i wanted to buy the ryzen 3 2200g but many people got in trouble because some bios of the motherboard are not upgrated, and as far as i understand you need the first generation of ryzen in order to upgrade the bios.
...
Some Mobos have an option to upgrade the bios without a Cpu. If possible, then it's written in the Manual.
And if you buy a new Mobo for 2200G, the Bios should be allready up to date.

You won't get really high performance with this RAM and this low frequency.
...
The plattform is old. (But you could run it @1600Mhz with the same timings i guess).
You could buy new cheap components, which are faster for not much money.
And you would save also money per year due the deeper power consumption.
...
I have here a i5-2500k @4.5 Ghz. But i have it since years and if i would buy something, then something new, expect you can get it very cheap.
...
And no, there are no problems with new Ryzens 2xxx and Mobos.
For Ryzen 3xxx and 4xx Mobos, you have also to make first a Bios update, but not for the 5xx Mobos. But the B450 will come later. First the x570.

yes that i5 2500k is a jewelry that by the date of today are giving good results.

Ahhh, the i5-2500k.... I have one still in use here. It's in an Asrock E3G3, 16gb 1866Mhz DDR3.
