Yes, unless the context is terrorism, dictatorships, or the movie team america. In general context you talk about either korea or north korea. There are americans that do travel to north korea and do the tour.

ETA: Heck, when south koreans talk about their country (in english), they just say "korea"

+ 1 Winston totally agree.  I have played on both European servers and USA servers, god knows my ping is far better to the euro servers, but I choose to play on US servers because they are about the team game where as on euro servers its all about the points and dam the team.  Don't get me wrong there are team players in Europe but not as many as stateside and so they are harder to find, most of them are in the RTW/SW server in case you would like to know wink.  In most US servers I have played on it is less about personal skill and more of collaborative skill, working as a team to win your game and not just being top of the leader board.  What would be a really interesting experiment is to place a server in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with similar pings from both sides and setup a 8 v 8 or 16 v 16 between a hand picked Euro Team and a similar USA team I wonder if collaboration would win over personal skill....... maybe we will never know ...but then...who cares really ...its a game we all love to play in our own unique way maybe that's what makes it fun smile

We should make that happen. For servers we can use one server in NYC, USA and the other one in Spain or France. We all know the Europe team is going to win though, because there are no active US clans that are doing 8v8 clan wars (except for ATF maybe) and they will be out of practice. But yeah could be something fun to watch.

That's why I asked for his definition, Dink. And no, nobody gets paid in the league.

Re: USA Server

I very much doubt that even Jazzy gets paid by the hour for his game play so you are talking wet, maybe you are really a river snake smile
There are no pro's in this game think about what it means.  Pro or professional meaning your chosen profession and your main source of income.  Semi-Pro meaning not your main source of income but something you do as an extra job and get paid for.
Games player meaning some who spends vast amounts of time playing computer games and has many electronic friends and enemies but most of them have really odd names.

Think that's right and clarifies it.

It depends on the context. In German, we use pro to name someone who thinks he is really good at something but actually is not. It has a negative connotation. (Northern Germany, obviously younger people use it)

Re: USA Server

Obviously no one ever got paid in this game, the only person to receive a prize for playing was lachesis in that 1v1 inf tournament, so that's the only one you can call "pro".

Re: USA Server

Not unless that is the only payment he has ever received and that was/is his only form of income.  So he is simply a player that won a prize there is no such thing as a pro in this game unless you are using the word in a derogatory fashion, in which case there are a few. Thanks Zody for the info smile
