Why you set it write protected after you deleted everything inside?
Of course the backup of the default air.con copy itself over the existing air.con, even if it's write protected.
Deactivate write protection and then you can set your keys and save.

It was deactivated several tries prior to video. If deactivated it's same. I just showed Surr. Monkey his version.

Make what i wrote one post before and then try. If you write protect the empty air.con, nothing can be saved there. Because of this, the entire "air.con" file will be overwrited with the backup. At last it could be the default air.con, which is wrong, but in fact this is ridicolous, because it doenst change, except you did.
If i deactivate reverse, then reverse is deactivated. Ok... wait... i try it inGame.
I can send you my "air.con" if you like.

Ok, when i deactivate reverse in air-config, the shift- view is normal, only up and down with mouse is changed, left right not. There must be a conflict somewhere in configs.

So to get plane up from ground you must drag mouse to you. ANd to look up you hold shift and drag mouse to you ?

Yes, up and down view is also in reverse when i deactivate reverse. Down is up and up is down. But... as i say, there must be a conflict.

If you like i send you my air.cons. The default and the custom. Or as best all cons from my profil, then you set up a new Testing profil, use it once, then exit the game and overwrite the cons with my cons. Just remember, that for surround view i use CapsLock and mouse, not Shift Mouse.

If i activate reverse, all is as it should be. When i deactivate reverse, all is as it should be. Flying up/down and look up/down is changed.

Argh i was reading just now your first post again. If you config your mouse like that you did, of course the view is also changed. That is no bug.
I never heard that someone is flying like dis, ... except now.
Forget all my ideas to fix it, ... you have to fix your flying abilities/configs.
Perhaps this is possible with some additional tools, like, i guess, abbas said. But me, i don't know....

Yes... now i get it... you have suspicious reverting, when it is, (or should) not be reverted... Ok... if i read it right.
(Don't forget, it's hard to read, when you don't speak a language).
In my config, all is reverted or it's not, depends if i activate reverse or not. I have no 50/50 situation.

So, if you would copy/paste my cons to overwrite yours and after inGame you deactivate reverse, then it should be as you want to have it.

If i'm not wrong, those are the 2 lines for shift view.

I don't know, if i made all right, but this original thread in this other forum could be a workaround... at last for sure with an Mouse/Joystick or a MouseGamepad-Emulator.
The only difference in cons is the ending of a config line. Bf1942 is 1 0 and bf2 is 1 0 0.

First, with windows 7, if you writeprotect a .con file like you did in the video the game might place the config file in your documents folder instead. If this is the case then you can do what ever you want but that file will always have higher priority.

Second, when in game open your console and type hud 0 then close the console and test how the controls react.
Arkos, this link you gave me is dead. I've setup a new profile for tests. Made the files write UNprotected, so that they won't copy to documents folder as bud showed.
Then I pasted the string ControlMap.addKeysToAxisMapping c_PIMouseLookY IDFKeyboard IDKey_T IDKey_Y 1 . But nothing changed. Even if I press T and Y.
2Bud. I ve tried hud 0, but only effect was hud dissapearing. Controls behaved usually, untill a bug happened and my sound dissapeared and resolution changed and I could not change any controls. I ve restarted the game and all seems normal. Hud dissapears after hud 0 command, controls work as usual.
Problem remains.
