Game freezes and shows no servers?

Hi, I downloaded 1942 from brandonhemmy.wixsite.com/f2pgames/battlefield-1942-downloads and am having trouble with the server browser.

When I first start the game i see a few servers in the server browser by default and I am able to join these servers, but cross referencing the list with gametracker.com there are many missing, but then when I hit Update in the server browser my game freezes then shows no servers at all.

Is this only a problem I have? How do I fix this? I know I have the gamespy patch because I can join the servers all fine but browser is broken still

Hello, this patch enables connection to the new master server, you will then be able to update the server list :
