Re: Kicked for afk

Hi Seven, first you death bail and then you wait for the ship. You mentioned that teams are uneven and with you afk it was even more uneven, right?
To me it is simply afk. Cheers

Re: Kicked for afk

- Jorgen mentioned that the teams are uneven. I mentioned that "team balance is extinct"
- You and four others on red weren't concerned enough to switch to blue tho
- Players are allowed to wait for vehicle spawns
- Server has an auto-kick for afk
- Admins should ask if player is afk, but you knew I wasn't regardless
- Deathbail?  I was a ship.  You yourself bailed then suicided on Battleaxe, so there's that..

Re: Kicked for afk

The current auto balance system is the result of someones brain fart. It only balances the teams at the start. When half of the players usually from the losing team leave, there is no compensation because no new players join the map

There are players who literally wait for the team to get at least one flag or else they won't spawn, I mean it's not against any rule but.. lol

Re: Kicked for afk

IMO admin would rather ask a player is he's afk.
I had cases when I also thought that players are afk, but when I asked they weren't. Someone can be at base managing aa's, or waiting for a vehicle to spawn, or a specific flag to be taken. It's not against the rules.

In regards to the balance, I have no idea how it works now. But if you have suggestions then create a topic and fire! Maybe someone will implement it, who knows.

I did? Can't remember the deathbail. But you got my point... you bail and then suicide.
What's the point of that? Not that I care, but it has a bad taste.

Very much so:
- You can fabricate a reason to kick someone which was clearly a spiteful act
- The player can provide full details of what happened
- Responsibility is evaded

From what I have seen,  you've otherwise been a somewhat decent admin, showing
a willingness to help others at times.  Shame to see the low road taken here.

Re: Kicked for afk

Game is over 22year old, And players/admin still go to a forum to argue about the actions like its a school playground.

Grip the server rules too tight, and you will suffocate and it will die. (server population already dropped over past few weeks)

If I remember you are a admin Seven, It should be a no go for been kick for this knowing how you play and it should be a no go for you to post that here. Admins section would of been better, we dont want to go lower.

Close this topic please

Must be upside down world, seeing seVen come to a forum complaining about the rules he used to implement so heavy handedly when he was an admin.

Re: Kicked for afk

Every time someone wishes a topic to be closed, some bloke comes around the corner and asks stupid questions...
You know i'm new to SiMPLE and not fully into it yet.
So please tell me if i get that case right:
brocco lee is a decent admin but he dislikes seVen, probably not the person but his style of playing this game.
And now this admin wants the player to contemplate it and kicks him.

There may be a rule regarding administration posts which are not involved in.  Check on it.

But no complaint about the rule here since it isn't one, nor had i been afk regardless.
The problem is with the admin and his choice to kick w/o merit.
Similar to a half dozen of us kicking 000 a couple years ago.

It is all suppose to be stopped.  Dary didn't the memo, nor does he choose to own it now.

Re: Kicked for afk

Best practice is always to ask the player in question if he is afk. Warning before a kick is basic protocol for all rules including this one.
Deathbail is allowed even though not recommended.
