The codex of today tells to consider all people the same, gender shall not play any role...
But gender exist and DO matter, in every aspects of human society, it always had.
Furthermore one surely does experience different behaviour of different gender/sex types, and yes even online/ingame.
Doesn't matter if gay/male/female/whatever. They are not at all "the same". 
And last but not least, every other type than male is minority in OLD gaming like Bf42. So in my humble opinion it's just
& natural to treat not all the same. Like you for example, in this case you don't treat Arwen totally neutral,
else you wouldn't be gentleman and try to help her. But this is only my point of view.

As for Arcos, i wasn't there and only read what happend, he acted wise and has well spoken.

I do not have the experience you other guys have, i haven't played this game for about 15 years.
But one can notice the lack of teamwork, probably as result of the short spawn times, already mentioned by Butcher and simon.
A lot of players just spawn, rush, kill and die, spawn, rush and die. Over and over again.
The only maps where real teamplay can be experienced are Battle of the Bulge and Tobruk. Maps where players are forced to work together,
because there is no other way of winning these maps...

I totally agree with you.
Players spawning in main base immediately start moving and hopping, so they are hard to kill anyway.
It barely is of consequence, as one can see on Moongamers server (basesniping is allowed there).
Having revenge after being picked off and go hunting down that nasty sniper in the back of Battleaxe or Kursk bases can be fun, btw.
The only reason against basesniping - the AA's wouldn't be manned anymore...
