#121 Re: Technical Help » Why the high ping all of a sudden? (Im not alone) » 2012-10-26 12:19:40

just to add one more question, i sometimes experiance jumping ping (yesterday last time between 17:00-18:30 CET) jumping from 40 to 100. is it because of same reason, router maintenance?

#122 Re: Off-Topic » Syria » 2012-10-26 12:15:41

lybia and now syria - same thing happening. it is western media brain washing, at least mainstream western media. last example - town of Bani Walid in lybia, heavy massacre happening right now where lybian "milita" mostly from misrata with new lybian army is slaughtering civil population that was loyal to gadafi at time. has anyone of you seen that news in mainstream mass media? anyway, what can we do. tomorrow, maybe we will not fight on bf but on real battle ground protecting our close ones.

hi all, philipines and midway can be boring, as any other map, modding is ok as long it is not over-modded. Good example of modded map is Battle of Britain with more planes and different types (yaks, zeros..). just saying to be careful with modding and not to over do it. i am sure there are experienced clan players with good ideas here on SiMPLE wink

depends unfortunately on your chipset , and mainboard type, mate.
you can always install a virtual windows xp inside win 7, and play it from there big_smile
perhaps changing a few things in bios would help, but i dont think so

G, if u want to run virtual machine for XP under win7, it depends whisch version of win 7 u have wink
I have Home premium, and I can not have virtual machine, it requieres higher version of win 7 (i guess pro or ultimate), i tried to do that and get win 7 message - u do not have rights to... upgrade win 7. damn microsoft sad

Assi, i noticed that, can u pls explain?

And yes, dm is arrogant and thinks that there should be certain rights who can drive tank/airplane.. but i dont mind him.

@YM, I know it's frustrating sometimes but in games there's no such thing as "getting in line".

Small tip: there's a reason why some (clan) players always disconnect and reconnect when the map is changing wink

#128 Re: Feedback » Lagging when close to 70ppl on server? » 2012-09-21 13:19:23

I rulled out computer requiremets - i use hp pavilion dv7 (bought in october 2011), i5 2410M, i think HD 6490M (2Gb) and 4gb RAM. also, good internet connection, ping range 40-70. But i noticed it gets laggy when close to 70ppl on server. maybe it should be considered to lower max ppl to 64 as it once was?

Hi all and thanks for all good advices, didint know that 2002 game can be so demanding. anyway I have new i5 hp dv7 laptop and its not lagging. but it crashes a lot under win7 home premium, it happens just when map is loaded and game should start, i get crash and have to reload game. anyone has idea? i tried with right click on icon and winxp compt. but its not working. Is this because win7 version? my brother has stronger version (win7 pro or something) and he doesnt get that much crashes.

Make sure your internet connection isn't being shared. If you have a router, password protect it so your neighbors can't leech off your connection.Sounds like BF 1942 is all you have running, but do task manager and see you PC activity.Do you have your PC set to defrag once a week? There is also a sweet program that cleans up your PC and I guarantee it is virus/spyware free 100%. I have used it for years. If you want I can link you to that free download? Making sure your PC is optimized for maximum performance means alot. Do a defrag and run Cleanup....you will be amazed. You can thank me later HAHA.Good luck bro!

Red,

Can you pls send link for that defrag prog? will it work for win7?

many thanks
