Seems you have the same problem as I had. I solved it as I described in this thread.
I modified the BF1942.exe (the one from this forum) so that the menu will display in 1920x1080 instead of 800x600. With this exe I have no more black screens when joining a server or when hitting ESC button. Here is a Link. Use it only if you also setup your game to this resolution in the video options from the menu. Otherwise your game will hang up when loading a map.
This should work.
Here is an extra trick you can try if you want.
Temporary change fullscreen from 1 to 0 and the game will start windowed in any resolution (the window is not centered so it might go partly off screen), then after you set the resolution and such that you want, then close the game and change back to "fullscreen 1" again.

This server has got stuck before (Dell optiplex 980) so im hoping it can make it over the weekend atleast.
Oh the old times. One of the best plane-zooking servers, and planes were manipulated such that even I could fly them.
I made the Bomberplanes stronger just for the less experienced pilots, little bit better odds to survive the superfighterpilots

For the longest time i didnt take aimbot cheat seriously, knowing the delay and "bad" netcode in the game, thinking it wouldnt help much anyway. But i have been proven wrong. As long as this game exist, it seems there is idiots out there spending time to improve and find new ways to cheat.
Look at the vid again, this time with the knowledge of a "snap to target" button and you will see things clearer.

That's no aimbot, not a chance. The BF1942 aimbot has a very noticeable "lock" when in use.

You get a bit more exposed to radiation if you flying alot, less protection from cosmic radiation as the atmosphere is thinner. (taken from memory so might be wrong)

Maybe its this centence that is unclear, i wrote the easiest way because it would be manual, meaning somebody has to time it with the stop/start because both servers cant bo on at the same time as they would have the same settings (duh)
Maybe tuia could automate things, but thats is more complicated and timeconsuming to set up.

That will never work. Very few people actually "update" their server list, they only refresh and once the offline server would then give a timed-out ping. Nice try, getting angry over nothing, lol.
One more time, "the same exact settings (exept the bots that is "hard-coded")" means nobody have to refresh any server browser because it would show up in the same place as the standard server.
Same Ip, same ports, same name. Nobody would ever notice anything except the bots would be gone. I dunno how to explain this any easier way.

yes, shut off a populated server and then go play conquest on a second server which will have 2-3 players.
I wrote the exact same settings, meaning it will be an identical twin with same name and everything else even look the same in the ingame server browser, favorites etc.
Only difference would be no bots. Why was this so hard to understand?

The absolut easiest and quickest way to make this happen is to have two identical servers (copy/paste two folders), one with bots and one without bots, all settings ports and such the same, then someone with enough rights have to stop one server and start the other at the right time etc.

This is a Admin/Sysop thing, the players can only follow the rules. If the rules doesnt work (eg the bots messing with autobalance), take it up with tuia to correct the situation.
TEAMSTACKING OR TEAMSWITCHING
Changing teams to the winning team is concidered teamstacking and is prohibited.
If autoteambalance tosses a player to the enemy team, it's allowed to change back if possible.
A "team" must be selected when your score is 0-0-0. Otherwise, it's not allowed.It's not considered as teamstack. End of discussion.
BUT I agree it's not nice to switch teams to make teambalance even worse AND that because of that switch the game isn't playable...
That's just a form of anti-social behavior! And should be prohibited.Now just forget about that kick and go having fun killing people on the battlefield!!

I dont use win 10 so im not sure, but with win 7 you have to set compability mode to win xp.

Yes i know, i posted the code for it and how to apply it. What i meant is that there is no way to turn off bots for the whole server, you have to do it every time a new map start. If you want them totally off for a weekend, you have to find some solution to that and that is something only tuia can do, be it manually trixing with files or automated via scheduling of some sort. Either way its tricky.
