If the slot you are plugging it into is compatible then yes no reason why not.
Just because your MoBo only supports DDR2 does not mean you cant have DDR3 on your GPU.

I am very aware what the thread is about you got caught cheating and it does not matter if it was for half a map or five minutes you were still caught and you seem to forget that I was on the RTR server that day so I know what was going on. You may remember me and one other player leaving because we would not play with hackers, that's when I was informed that the hacker was not actually playing only sat on the side of the server and you and he were having a nice little chat. I am also fairly convinced that the guy you were talking to was one of the server crashers when he said "it ok Dink I am not even playing" exactly the same thing he said to me just before he crashed my server a few months ago.
I am not sure why you think its funny that I use knowledge of your hacks to combat hackers many server admins do the same thing, you may think your a pro player but I am a pro admin live with it.

I am afraid I can't agree that using hacks to get rid of game spoilers is justified or warranted, I also do not believe this is the case. Surely having one hacker on a server is bad enough but when an admin jumps in and starts doing the same you are just making the problem twice as bad.
There is absolutely no reason to use hacks or cheats and the only person you are cheating is yourself, it turns out without them you are not as good as you thought you were. The thing I find hard to swallow is the amount of comments from Moon to other about learning to play the game when in fact ......... I will park that there.
I will own up to having a large number of cheats and hacks for this game but the only reason I have them is to combat against them, knowing what to look for and how a server reacts to them being used is extremely useful to beating the losers that think they need them.
Ban for cheating should be perma ban and this should only be lifted in extreme circumstances, I do not believe this meets that criteria.

Regardless of using VPN's the bans will still be there wont they and with your name attached to them with a reason for the ban?

The player informed me that it was ok because he was not actually playing at that time. This looks to me like a GPU chip failure caused by bad solder runs on the mainboard.
Because you have already said that it happens after a few minutes of play would indicate that the GPU chip is getting hot and causing a weak solder join to throw up this fault. I am afraid the looks like a warranty repair or a new mainboard.
The only other thing it could be is a break or bad connection in the main screen loom, with this fault showing press down close to both left and right screen hinges, usually left one, and see if it makes a difference.

At the time that Lonewolf told everyone that he was making a video for the forums Ramstein I am pretty sure was playing as Ramstein along with another "SS" clan member.
Have yet to see the video but no ban was issued as a result it was simply Lonewolf shouting off again.

Yes you could easily by a 600w supply and run it to the max or buy an 800w and have the components run well within tolerance and leave room for expansion.
Is what I am saying actually factually right or wrong? well it was the last time I tried it but that was not through self criticism it was through testing and using ohms law to work out actual current consumption.

I would go a lot higher than a 500w PSU the Monkey is right
700w is ok 800-900w is better and wont leave you wanting more when you upgrade your GPU, other components or simply loading loads of USB devices

Been in the IT game for nearly 30 years the above is total nonsense.
By all means use stock cooling if you wish but your processor will get hot and won't last you as long as it could and your stock cooling will be as noisy as hell but don't take my word for it try it and see.
It will also heat the components surrounding you CPU more heat = more current less efficient.
Why on earth do you think the fastest CPU that has ever been produced is super cooled, by liquid nitrogen I believe.
Seriously listen to Serebro you will thank him for it in the end

For about 3 days I havnt been able to connect to the USA server. I get a "failed to connect" message everytime I try join? I can join everywhere else. A couple of weeks ago I had the same problem, but it fixed itself after a couple of hours. Again it was only the USA server. Has anything changed?
At the bottom left of the master server it says I'm running 1.61, not 1.61b but I'm pretty sure I am. Could that be the problem?
It never lists the "b" in the game it will ever show 1.61 Pleiades is probably spot on with the diagnosis

The FX9000 series does have as you say a 220w tdp and require liquid cooling but the 8000 series is around 95w or 125w depending which one you get.
All I will add is that Xbox 1 and playstation 4 seem to be happy with them ...says it all

amd cpus are crap ... buy intel ...
that cpu is the best example of how much amd suck ... it's just an overclocked piece of silicon, due to amd being stuck at 32 nm, due to the intelligence in that company being too low. they've been at the brink of bankrupsy for a long time. those overclocked cpus have shorter lifetimes, the cooling is noisier, and they use much more electricity, so they are more expensive to run. yes buy a 4790k/6700k if you want a true beast, but an i5 at half the cost is a good deal too.
that psu is sufficient for intel, and borderline for amd

Ok I can only speak from experience I have had the Bulldozer for 4 years now and it is super silent running dual boot Win7/10 at 64bit never a glitch from it. The suggestion to up the rating of the PSU was to cope with the demand from the GPU which is what I had to do when I replaced my original card due to boot failures through lack of power, although it worked fine with the old GPU my 600w supply struggled with the 4Gig GPU. I now have an 800w and all is well again although I still have the same processor and it is still rock solid.
I have two servers both with i5's on board and these mothers cook big time as do the 7000 units that we have with i5 and i7s at the University where I work. Having the two i5's running in my office at home at least does save me money, I have not needed to use the fan heater for over a year
Best of luck with whatever you decide upon.
P.S I am now on my 3rd i7 PC at work in two years just thought I would put that out there

The nearest equivalent to the one I use, which is no longer manufactured, is this one:

Its a bit of a beast in size but super quiet due to the fact that it has a 120mm fan and so does not need to run very fast to move a large amount of air, so you don't get that horrible whine when you are loading the system.

Try changing your name and see if you can get into the server then, if you can then you are indeed a different Bilko and we can look into it further.
If you cant then you have been banned for evading a ban and you will need to wait for head admin.

I would seriously up your PSU, its the heart of any system and under specifying it will cost you dearly in the long run.
I run an AMD 8 core Bulldozer and have had no issues with heat at all provided you spend a bit of money on decent cooling you wont either, it seriously craps all over the i5 and i7.
