I was curious so i tried it on windows xp with an old java version (2002) and it still gets the same fault message. The thing is that i have a faint memory of using this software before, or something very similiar.
edit: sometimes flashbacks can be a good thing, i realized what the difference was between then and now, it seems to be some difference in the log file format between windows vs linux. Its not something one can see at a glance tho.
Found an old windows generated csv file and tried again.

Sounds ok, i forgot that its way warmer where you at, we just got rid of the snow
Check out this, its a Intel NUC https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File … panel).jpg really nice, but not so good graphic as its inbuild.
I dont think your hd should be that hot even without a fan
Try another program like crystaldiskinfo just to doublecheck the values

Yeah could be overheating then, try with one fan connected at a time, you can also use some external power adapter or battery to check out a fan, 5-12 volt should be ok just to see if its runs at all.
What kind of cable does your HD use, red or gray?

What are the real advantages of using content check mode?
Pure is for standard bf42 and it does a check on the the most common game files + maps, unpure is for mods (like Desert Combat) and i think its limited to checking the maps only.
Every map has settings like fog-distance so its why they are checked, it can only have one crc value that is correct, opening a map and saveing it without changing anything is enough to break the check-sum.
The bf-server doesnt need to check its own files as it cant really cheat, modding affects all players equally.
There is a way to check all client files, but it needs punkbuster to run, forgot the name tho and its absolete anyway.
edit: the server use the contentcrc32.con file to look up the checksums of the maps. The bf42.exe is not checked so HD works with pure settings.
If i where you, i would clone that disk asap.
Everybody is collecting datas. It doesn't matter, if a site is secured or not.
Windows 10 sends every 30 minutes all what you typed on your keyboard to 7 different servers. You shouldn't roll such a panic because simple HP is not secured.

I'm not surprised s[sk] disabled it for obvious reasons...
But I don't see how that becomes our problem? aX need to find a way of handling their ban appeals without the need for registration.
Good thing simple forum has registration open, so that ax can answer. ![]()

The "secure" internet protocol (https) is good for stuff that involves creditcards and bank transfers, also perhaps if you have the habit of writing write pm to your mistress and things like that.
It has no relevance in a standard forum like this.
As for the loadtime aspect, your browser cashes all static things so it doesnt have to download it everytime you visit.
Fix for resolution problem, this is tuia´s file (Battlefield 1942 v1.61 Retail executable patched) but patched again to show the ingame-meny in the resolution you select from the games settings.
Download www.bfo.pm/p/BF1942.zip
And here is how you do to make it work http://team-simple.org/forum/viewtopic. … 33#p117933
I am disappointed that you use Android. By the way, when will your Librem phone be ready?
I havent forgot i was gonna check up on that secure phone i mentioned, but the website with the good info down in the secret caves of the interwebs just dissapeared, leaving me stumped. ![]()
I prefer Pandora.

That site seems like some weird agenda for how to present "HTTP/2 will make your web sites faster." Instead they attribute it to "encryption is making your site faster", when the speed difference being shown is all due to HTTP/2 and not the encryption.
For a site named "HTTPvsHTTPS" and explicitly stating "encryption is faster", the test to prove that point would have been to use HTTP 1.1 encrypted vs unecrypted. Which would have shown just a negligible to noticeable overhead of "all the same HTTP things are occurring, but now additionally encrypted and decrypted at each end."
The bottom line is still "who cares", since the reason you'll encrypt has nothing to do with whether it will make your site any faster. But with a nagging question of "but then why misrepresent the information?"

Yeah i checked it out a bit more, and its seems to be special made to make regular http:// look really slow. I do use https on some sites, but the server software doesnt support spdy or http2 anyway.

A ssl certificate is not that cheap either depending on where you host, ivé made certificates for my own use, but it does looks ugly everytime the browser complains about it not being safe. A newb seeing this would certainly hesitate to go further.

Appendix A to simple server rules: no vpn allowed.
There, done.
I remember a dogfight where i had like 300+ ping, i had to lead so far ahead my opponents plane that he was more or less out of screen if i wanted to get the bullets to hit. Kinda took the fun out of the game to play like that.
