Try change the www in the tube adress to ca (meaning specifically use california servers)
This worked ok some years ago.
If you planning on playing on the kimsufi server, (fra) i suggest you try its limits first (nr of players without lagging)
Go windows! lol.

Strong allied team on midway.

That was a fun match.
I was surprized myself when it worked, maybe tuia or someone has polished the dns thing a bit in the .exe?
You are right about the "team-simple.fr", it works to, i guess i read the post a bit sloppy and assumed the adress was team-simple.org as in the mainsite adress. I checked the server IP and it usually show the domain-name, my mistake.

We can't use the DNS name in the actual shortcut (e.g. "+joinServer play.team-simple.fr:14567"), because Battlefield 1942 doesn't support DNS names on the +joinServer command line, just like it doesn't support DNS names to manually join a server in-game.
I just tried this successfully in a desktop shortcut +restart 1 +joinServer ks3353793.kimsufi.com:14568
A confirmation would be nice.
Simple doesnt seem to have any domain-name pointing to the new server.
Tuia made some standalone .exe some years ago. Dont remember how he solved the key issue.
You mean for Linux? I only have the windows version.
Please write server name among the first things in a new thread, as simple has different admins for some servers its helps alot.
Thanks.
Try to occasionally use one of these:
meh, it didn´t help much.

Its not that bad, its just feels like a little delay in some applications. Im not sure you would notice with your PC
(no offence lol)
The performance hit was really noticeable with windows patch.
Fortunately most of the web is driven by Linux.
If memory serves me right, i think pixelfighters had a reg-fix for FH
Nice work, i had never thought of that! i opened the statistic.template for o looksie, but couldnt see any obvious problem with it that could lead to this problem, neither with the run.cmd. So i guess it might be the "bfstats.jar" thats causing it.
I found a little gem in that template tho (lol) ![]()
-- player names filter. this regular expression will be matched against the player name. if it matches the player
-- will NOT show up in the statistic. so it's kind of a "ban list" (you can even rule out your most hated clan :-) )
--
-- the example below will match against any player that has "fuck", "Fuck" (or the l33t versions like "Fcker") in
-- their name or is named "Player" or "player"
-- a good introduction on regular expressions can be found here: http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/helpsheets/regex.html
<VAR:BAN_PLAYERS>.*[Ff]u*ck.*|[Pp]layer</VAR>
Salutations
First of all, thanks VERY much for allowing all resolutions ingame!
But the few mods that need 98 instead of NT compatibility will override that unfortunately and only show old res modes
Can you give some examples of these mods?
*hug*

its not lag ![]()
Yeah this is a weird one alright. I sent you a pm so you can take a closer look at those files.
Nice! I wouldnt have thought of that. The linux file says Unix(LF), ill try convert it.
edit: gnarf! .. must be something more i guess, ill see if i can figure out what it is, i kinda like it when it works, small files, quick loading, no database to think about.
