Poor synchronisation of client/server... The desync errors get propagated to the animation and the attempt of the game to smoothen the movement results in what you described, that's it...
Jumpy claimed that you crashed his tank to teamkill him. Maybe he mistook you for the guy that actually did it. But I think you deserve a ban for one week the way you were articulating yourself in the chatlogs that vertigo posted. I'm not sure how the stance of the simple admins is on this, but I at least think you may try to bust jumpy by recording but you have to behave properly when doing so. Otherwise you'll have to expect to be kicked or banned again.
I'll translate what I posted to German since curt cobain appears to be using google translate or something of the likes.
I think 15m ban is a bit very light for such demeanour. Perhaps 3 days would have been sufficient, but I don't think you should be any more lenient than that. Look at what he was saying, lol... I think 1 week is quite fitting~
I don't think that's the one I meant. Carriers were side-by-side for quite a while. People were jumping from deck to deck. It was like a pirate movie ![]()
Name, do you still have that clip of the epic carrier fight on midway with the carriers going side by side?
No this rule cannot apply.
I wasn't asking if it should be applied in this case but if it is applied at all.
Otherwise sensitive admins could ban for all kinds of behavior.
Isn't that already happening anyway? Though it's mostly not permanent.
- Please respect all players. Behaviour only meant to disturb or upset players is forbidden.
Is this rule being applied at all?
The server is called simple for a reason. There will be no complex rules volturi.
But what runs in the background should maybe be overhauled.
No definitive way to determine if the death was intentiona
Excuse me?
I can clearly remember times where 000 would suicide or even disconnect any time he was in danger of getting killed in plane.
I can determine pretty definitively that these deaths were intentional since he even used the suicide command/button for it often.
Fore cases like this it all depends on the quantity...
The question is if it's done excessively or it's just a single occasion. Sometimes you just bail out of habit and when you realise it was a bad idea you just hit the ground.
Pretty sure 000 was doing it literally all the time for a while. That's a difference.
I don't think battlefield classifies as abandonware as the hardware it runs on is still easy to purchase.
For that matter compare here: https://web.archive.org/web/20131123031 … index.html
On the other hand EA was offering it for free on origin a few years ago and hasn't made any other offers available since.
So a DMCA warning seems disproportionate.
The Hill seems like a legit newspaper. Maybe you should watch the video first.
They are probably just click-baiting.
Would generally agree with most things you said Volturi. But that assi would essentially grief the guy after he got the plane because he was typing as we can see from vertigo's video is hard to argue with.
Have to give this one to Dakota. Pretty pointless statement. Could also direct you to some places in East Germany to walk. There is nothing in particular about "these black gentlemen". Also the "white social justice warrior" is another stereotype.
Why is this demeaning behaviour necessary at all? It's a valid question.
Either you're interested in a constructive discussion or you are trolling...
They are competing over the same resources e.g. work places etc. in "America"... Look at how some places in the US are looking right now.

Read the wiki article I posted as well. That's all there is to say about this...
1. If they wanted to assassinate Navalny, why did they use Novichok? Many people would have died from this. It was possible to find another way, which looks less suspicious, like a car accident, sudden disappearance with no successful search (hello Jimmy Hoffa), homicide by a group of drug-addicts etc.
2. If he was poisoned by Novichok being in the plane afterwards, why did they let the pilot do the emergency landing to bring him to the Omsk hospital with an ambulance?
3. If he was in Omsk hospital, why they didn't finish him there? Why the medics stabilised his health with medicaments?
4. If his health has been stabilised, why didn't they assassinate him a bit lately?
5. If they wanted him to be dead, why did they let the German plane land in Omsk and take Navalny to Germany to Charite clinic?
First of all, I agree that it's not entirely clear since Germany is holding back information that they claim to have.
To 1, it's very hard to trace and proof that it was used making it kind of impossible to find the assassin.
2-5 Are easy to explain. The entire body of the state does not operate unison. No secret service will involve local airports or hospitals in their missions. Completely absurd to theorise like that.
That the Russian Government was behind it is the most likely but a "false flag" operation in the sense of trying to blame things on Russia is also possible.
Unlikely we'll ever know the truth.
I am just talking about American society in particular. These categories are not just about belonging to certain groups, they denote a social status within society. To be black in America means more than just "My ancestors came from West Africa."
Think about the wave of European immigrants. First, they were Italians, Germans, Irish etc. and they had a bad reputation. Now they are just white.
What purpose does it serve to hold on to these categories? And what purpose does it serve e.g. to identify yourself in terms of your sexual preference? These are not chosen by people themselves, they are made by people who want to sow division within a people.
That people first were Italians, etc. and then became white is exactly what I was referring to that you can't erase categories entirely in our current reality. Obviously these are mendable and morph over time.
If people become too similar they will find new differences again. People seek belonging naturally, that's biologically hardwired behaviour, it does not need any other purpose.
Compare with realistic conflict theory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realistic_conflict_theory and for example the Robbers Cave Experiment in particular.
Sunshine wrote:Yes, obviously in general, homicide occurs within the same race due to living in the same area and also some being domestic violence related homicides, which are in most cases 2 of the same race.. Over 90% of blacks are killed by other blacks and over 80% of whites are killed by other whites.
It's probably a long discussion and my answer wasn't the most optimal one either, as, in my opinion, the only long-term solution to these kinds of problems lies in getting rid of these categories auch as white, black, brown, Hispanic, Asian etc. Those categories are a relict of an "unpleasant" past. Just observing from the outside, of course, but if Americans started viewing each other as fellow citizens and just that, maybe a lot of these problems would go away.
You can't erase categories in their entirety. It's part of basic human social behaviour to think in groups and search for a sense of belonging. If people don't think in categories of colour, religion or sexual preference then they'll find other categories. People are simply dispositioned to think like that. It might not be impossible to overcome it but it would take centuries or longer.
Follow you? Are you a guru?
Follow my thoughts. I simply meant to express I don't need any confirmation of what I think in this regard. People may take it or leave it...
No its not. This is me accepting as white male that I cannot possibly understand what offends others, hence I try to listen and understand. I might not agree with everything, but offending someone is something I want to prevent. This has nothing to do with West v East, this has something to do with being a human that is considerate of people around them. This is not political. You can try making this political as much as you want.
I am also not imposing something onto someone. I am not trying to impose my background onto others. What nonsense! This issue is discussed worldwide. Universities are connected, this isnt something new to Russians. I really wonder who's generalising here. As I said before if you really want to learn about this stuff, google it.
Anyhow, I have had this discussion countless of times and I am not interested in having it in a way that only scratches the surface.
You are misunderstanding me if you think what I've been talking about is focused on politics.
I'm trying to understand nameless profoundly before I make any form of judgement. That includes trying to account for my own WEIRD bias.
Here are some scientific articles about western bias if that's deep enough for you~
https://www.psychologicalscience.org/ob … d-behavior
https://undark.org/2020/01/20/psychology-bias-western/
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.117 … 4918807353
Thinking that the issue has similar dimensions in countries that were not directly involved in history is completely absurd.
Why should Russians, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans etc. be engaged in this discussion even remotely in a similar sense as the countries that were directly involved historically.
That would be noble but it's not how things go.
What do you know about historically and culturally relevant and perhaps also sensitive events within Russia? And even if you know a lot, you could not reasonably assume that as a standard that could be generally expected of an average person.
There are too many such nuances in all the different cultures and too little people that have the opportunity to travel the world or the desire and ability to learn about them all.
You draw your strong expectancy for nameless to be educated about these things only from that your/our culture is the dominant one.
Why does nameless have to be educated about stuff that matters in our countries or in the USA but not in his daily reality.
Sorry, but it just does not make any sense.
He has no point no matter any presumptions simply because he is white. Thats just how it works.
That's preposterous and in dismissal of the possibility that other intellectual cultures outside of that of your own can exist at all. Furthermore I don't even know if nameless is white or not, whatever white may mean in this context.
Imagine a group of "white" people going on a trip around the earth near light speed before the age of slavery so time passes very slowly for them relative to the people living on earth. You can't just impose historical/philosophical developments on them out of nowhere when they come back to earth.
You are generalising your own intellectual culture and beliefs at a rate that is severely unhealthy for communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds. That is ones that are not part of the western ethnocentric constructivist bubble.
Clearly this isn't a scientific environment why would I expect anything scientifically new to come of it. But perhaps I can make some points that nameless or you have not thought about or heard of before.
I don't expect anyone to follow me, I'm just following myself.
Pathetic. There is no progress to be made discussing this topic, puppets.
That's like saying integrating over infinitesimals does not add up to anything. It does.
No nämeless does not have a point. There is a huge difference between a white person saying this, and an African-American college fund using it. Trying to be diplomatic about this does not help the issue. Its not hard to stop using these words. Thats how simple it is.
He does have a point if I don't make any presumptions. I'm not an avid follower of this forum up to recently. I'm introducing the necessary foundations first before I come to any conclusions. This has nothing to do with diplomacy but is merely reasonable. Regardless of that if you can't properly exclude or punish him for his violations it's better to tolerate/ignore him than to consolidate oppositions. I'm new here in a way so I deserve the benefit of conceiving my own opinion.
What you're debating now is exactly one of the core problems in cultural sensitivity.
How far do people need to adjust to cultural differences and in which case is an attempt for a neutral standpoint justified or even required.
As I've seen nameless correctly point out at other times, negro means black and one can also find the UNCF in Washington D.C. "The United Negro College Fund" which is a welfare organisation aimed to provide students of colour with scholarships or any student attending a historically black college or university.
Clearly nameless has a point and while some may argue that adequately debating in this case would be a waste of time, you're not giving the subject enough credit by giving it some half-assed attempt. This will just lead to a consolidation on both sides which isn't beneficial for anyone. Doing so just out of spite or a form of cynicism is thoughtless and you'd better avoid a confrontation entirely then.
The other side is that a large group of people seem to have agreed upon that due to how the word was often used historically it would be better to avoid using this term. Why?
Because words are powerful and people want to leave a negative part of history behind themselves in order to move on. Perhaps there are also some very personal words you'd rather not hear, maybe names of people that hurt you when you had no power over it. The ability to relate is fundamentally required to understand the concept.
Now, as in any type of progress. The collective mainly relies on that you understand and accept this sort of notion of your own free will. Because it is hard or impossible to impose something like this on you. However, there can be circumstances where your refusal of acknowledgement can only lead to one possible objective conclusion, that you either do not possess the ability to some basic social abilities like empathy or despite having them refuse to make use of them, which would thereby classify you as socio- or psychopath.
When the clear majority has established social rules and norms that you refuse to follow and actively disobey then you're leaving the grounds of what can be considered socially acceptable.
Now perhaps the circumstances in some regions or cultures are different but when you cross the borders, in virtuo or in vivo, then you also cross the borders of the validity of your culture and you can't reasonably expect the same rules and norms to apply. Being culturally sensitive would mean to adapt and find a common ground which is naturally difficult when many different cultural backgrounds collide. Ideally you should try to learn from each other and adjust when it doesn't completely destroy your identity since convergence is generally more desirable for a community than divergence. Otherwise you should learn to tolerate one another.
Have to give it to nameless that Russia clearly does not have a history of slavery of Africans that comes even close to what's happened in the USA. They were probably too busy keeping their own country in order due to its vast size.
However, while racism can pave the way to slavery, racism and the "oppression of negroes" surely are not identical. So it was a bit weird that you would mix these two together as if they were one and the same.
Consulting Wikipedia once more for the matter of finding a definition "Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another."
Thus racism is not primarily defined by how you treat people but by how you think of them. The thoughts may often converge to a differing treatment of people but it's not a given.
The controversy of the topic mostly lies in properly understanding the difference between racism and cultural sensitivity. That is to understand that the anthropological differences of cultures and races, outside those of physical appearance, are almost exclusively disposed by epi-genetical factors rather than primarily genetical ones.
In case that's too cryptic for some people here. The "environment"(any sort of external factor: catastrophes or crises, safe and prosper times, one's parents, one's family in general, if you live next to a coal power plant, the water quality, etc. pp.) a human grows up in (epi-genetics), is generally the deciding factor in regard of which type of behaviour they show and what personality they will develop in the end.
Racism on the other hand would be to expect that different types of behaviours and personalities are exclusively or almost exclusively rooted in one's genes and that for instance, black people are generally smarter than others. White people are better nurses. And russians better air plane pilots.
Now I almost forgot to mention the important second part of my little essay.
It's important to understand this does not in principle debunk the forming of cultures, subcultures and so on and so forth. Of course it is possible for cultural groups to exhibit certain behavioural tendencies. Being culturally sensitive means to acknowledge the cultural differences that exist between people of different cultural backgrounds. However, one always needs to keep in mind that these phenomena are primarily based in culture (epi-genetics!!!) and not in gene pools.

Did you see about the 16yo girl who was shot? She was trying to stab 2 people and a cop shot her. So immediately media and the usual people came out and called it a racist shooting. Then, even after the bodycam and doorbell camera came out showing what happened, some are still calling it racist. There's even a person saying how it's no big deal that she had a knife. Apparently, to them, the black lives the cop SAVED doesn't matter. Because black lives only matter when it's politically useful. Black lives don't matter to black lives.
Ugh, yes. "She was just a baby" Eh, no... She was 16 and NOT a little baby, she was a huge woman ffs.
Did you see the press conference by her aunt? All lies.. man they should send some good and decent black cops out in to these crappy ass neighbourhoods, but no can do, thats racist! America is going to shit, and the rest of the West will follow because thats all we know how to do.Black on black homicide is the leading cause of death of black males under 44yo. But you can't say that... you must never bring such words up.
There's many issues regarding black on black crime, but that community, the sub-cultutures within their culture, and their political shills... just ignore it.
Oh yeah.. In THE SAME STATE... a day before the girl with the knife was shot, a 13yo stabbed and killed another 13yo girl. But guess what? Barely any news coverage. No cop killed her. No white guy killed her. It’s not that narrative you mentioned .
By what do you measure big issues?
Drugs including alcohol cause much higher fatality rates if you take them for a scale.
The US have a problem with their high crime rates especially in combination with gun violence when compared internationally. Whenever "silly things" are done or even allowed in our western world then that is usually because someone has been making a ton of money out of it.
What can you do about black on black crime without tackling socio-economic issues? This will be expensive for the state. The money would not flow towards arms dealers but social workers, teachers etc.
That's all terrible investments in the eyes of the economically influential. The only good investments are when money from the state flows towards their own industries. Hence these kind of news will not gain any priority.
Blaming some random violent police men is easy though. That's an issue to keep people busy while nothing really changes.
The US has systemic issues, they can never be fixed by focusing your attention towards singular incidents. Regardless of if you focus on a singular incident of black on black crime, police officers displaying criminal misconduct or whichever such event was picked by the media to receive attention.
As long as we get El Alamein CQ under regular conditions and we don't need to be there on the 7th morning after the 7th moon in the year of the dragon I would not mind seeing 2 or 3 more times of this atrocity of a map in the map cycle.
He already said he will try to change. What more could he say right now?
Makes no sense to keep blaming and petrify him. Just leave it with saying he won't get pardoned...
I doubt we will ever see statically floating PCOs such as a carrier on simple other than for stealing their spawngroups. Making planes spawnable though like the apc and distributing some of them randomly across the map at high altitude seems like something that tuia might accept.
They can't be "camped" if you put them high enough or make their rotational speed fast enough.
I think it would be better to just have it floating like on Arkos server.
Then you might as well just spawn the planes in the air like in the modern battlefield games. You can also put planes in rotational bundles and add a spawn point to them using some trickery so you can directly spawn inside the planes.
I think the circle makes more sense than an ellipsis or a line though.
Nice input here.
Notapix wrote:Would be possible to decrease the spawn times of the other ships? Maybe depending on the number of flags controlled, if that's possible: the less flags you have, the fastest they respawn. I've got no flags, you sink my carrier: blam, eat the whole armada respawning in seconds!
Cannot be altered with stock configurations. Not sure if it can be modded here. In CoD, I made all things like that as an option.
Notapix wrote:Or to give the carrier a couple of different spawn points, so that if it's sunk once it respawns someplace else? You sink it in B4, it respawns in A1 so you can't just resink it.
Same answer as above.
Changing spawn times depending on flags controlled is possible but not originally supported by the game and I don't think simple has the necessary framework to make such a thing happen.
Giving different spawn points is easier to achieve. You can stick spawners to a rotational bundle that let's objects spawn anywhere on a defined circle. For example you could make a rotational bundle in the center of the map so that ships can spawn on random locations around the island with the same distance to the centre.
Hello everyone,
I don't usually frequent here but I want to say something regarding this topic:
Personal ideology should not play a role in the game. I'm very displeased by the fact that I have to read some unnecessary and highly questionable announcements while playing the game. The server is being (ab)used for a form of provocative propaganda which I think has no place in a game server. You can do share this kind of things here on the forum in a section where not everyone is forced to acknowledge this alternate history theory. I might even be willed to debate with you for a while to try to explain to you that the whole point of sexual reproduction is the mix of genes and not the segregation of some antrophological constructs.
But... When I'm on the server I want to play the game and not be annoyed by some announcements trying to patronize me!
And for this reason I also believe that nicknames which try to induce ideology to the game should be banned. Especially when it's done in such a provocative and obvious manner as by the people in question. Their main intention is to provoke and cause trouble, otherwise they would not start using such a clan tag in the first place.
There are plenty of decent people playing and admining on simple and trying to maintain a good atmosphere there. In regard of the community as a game community, this whole ideology casus is being nothing but poisonous.
Also - offtopic:
Please adjust the map rotation! I have played el alamein conquest on simple once in 3 years. I get that ctf is especially fun for new and not so skilled players that like to fly around with turbo jeeps and basecamping. But el alamein conquest is the most attractive map for pilots apart form Gazala. CTF just ruins it. Add cq to the rotation, stop changing the rotation so often, like 3 times a day and please create a higher variation of maptypes. A pacific map should not be followed by 3 more pacific maps but should rather be interrupted by a non-pacific map.
So much of my well-meant advice. I would frequent here more if it weren't for the aforementioned server announcements.
Regards to everyone~
I think improving texture quality or shaders can only do so much for a game; especially without releasing inofficial patch files. I kind of stand pessimistic towards the idea that more people would play the game just because you update textures and shaders or the weather system. But if you are willing to invest time in it, you might as well try.
