Uhm, with the way it is modded like now we wont be able to play a normal map for 5 minutes. Please don't extend the time at some ridiculous CTF map.

lol stop exaggerating guys. just played this round and it took 25 minutes for 6 flags (then map switched automatically), with a couple of failed attempts on both sides. i just thought that if the timer would be off you'd have more of a 'ctf feeling' and more people actually trying to win the map for their team.

but is it possible to turn off timer on CTF El Ala and make it first team to get 5 flags for example? 30 min is always so short and maybe that would also encourage some of the better players to go for flags.

lol i was surprised too when i read lecter's posts. i mean do you honestly believe that he was playing clean the day i became suspicious of him but only had that 1 gazala video, and the next day when i got more videos it was suddenly his cousin playing with cheats.. come on

btw tuia, any chance i can still join the admin club? chasing this cheater was fun and i sometimes play at weird hours of the day

no trust me guys, i followed him on el alamein as well when he had b17 and was bombing hidden infantry in the desert knowing exactly where they were. unfortunately i didn't film it.
i usually don't care because these noobies won't affect anyone's gameplay.. but i hate cheaters!

never filmed anything before, so i m clearly a nub in this area, but can you explain how you see axys minimap while flying with allied plane ??? , or i m missing something ???
follow the player, switch teams, open map. check the first 10 seconds of the video. its a neat trick for spotting people with maphack

when you have a partner a good trick to steal the flag is to have 1 guy ride on the hood of the jeep and the other turbo drives it next to the flag pole. try it out

Just for a change you can do what I always do and have done for a long time (and I only share this since I always play allies on omaha so maybe it helps allies ^^)
Walk so you are below the right bunker. Climb up the mountain so you get up above the sandbags (note, dont go all the way upp). Just before you are "up" on the "road" turn a bit left. There is a pretty well protected spot there and its very easy to stand on your knee and throw in nades into the bunker, if you are on the right spot you wont slide. Then just stick ur head up and kill some noobs, go all the way down (below the bunker) to heal and repeat until you die.
i hope you attack the flag too sometimes, because in my opinion the main reason allied fail to break through is because skilled players are too busy preserving their kill/death ratios. the worst are the ones that occupy tank and then camp with it on the beach.

am i the only one who is happy with the current omaha version? its supposed to be a challenge for allied to break through and not a walk in the park!
removing of mines and expacks and limiting nades was perfect, no need to mod more.

you might want to put a server message that explains how to use the turbo-jeeps. noobies don't know about it and think that people are cheating when they see the flying jeeps.
or an admin command for example: !ctf = "use right or left click for jeep turbo"

Ce n'est pas un bug c'est un fun mod pour ctf. Tu peut voler avec les turbo-voitures quand tu utilise la droite ou le gauche "mouse button".

hmm i'm pretty surprised by the negative responses. the mod was very popular and Moongamers are still running a similar (but worse) version of it. you really can't compare it to ctf Guadal which is a terrible map for ctf because it's too hard to steal and discourages people to go for flag. the turbo jeeps on el alamein guarantee people going for flags and also help prevent tanks camping runways or main bases.

so i downloaded it the other day and it was just too funny. you can literally get gold in every round with just a knife and a medic kit!
had to start recording, so here's some of my footage
