My 3 boys and I spent a couple of hours sitting in folding chairs with binoculars both polarized and non coated. We enjoyed the entire event which only goes to prove that simple things attract simple minds.

I love the one CTF in the rotation and boy is the pace ever fast! Problem is, trying to "come down" after that game and then going to sleep. I gotta have some mellow time before sleeping after CTF! Seems I get adrenaline squirting out of my ears!

Did you get an "Windows Automatic Update" recently? It happened to me. I had to re-install the patch for Gamespy and all was well after installing. My problem was identical. HOPE this is it. It only takes a minute to download and install.
Now to get my TS back running again...........**sighs**

So the answer for MY issue was to re-install gamespy patch, select run and life is GOOD again. Thanks to all who helped!!!!!!
Gamespy patch on team-simple.org front page for downloads, not the forum in case anyone else has my issue. Took less than 10 seconds to fix!

Actually, Christians certainly DO speak loudly against killing homosexuals, blacks and sacrificial virgins............. not since the Dark Ages. And I certainly have no clue where those sacrificial virgins are written or taught Biblically in Old or New Testament. We speak about murder. You may not hear it but the spoken words and ideals are obviously ensconced in the Christian beliefs. Murder and killing are not the same incidentally. I believe Islam is Evil. When the Prophet takes a 9 year old girl as a wife, consummates the marriage at her age of 10, and his teachings of killing those that are Infidels, to me personally, that's evil. Stoning to death. Cutting off heads. Killing of Daughters for being raped. All are addressed in the Koran as I know. I cant see any rationale except Evil for me personally. I agree with you 100% Religion is not Evil, people are. However to teach such terrible acts to carry out on other humans as acceptable, defines Evil. I will wait until the mass of the Islamic believers protest in huge numbers against these atrocities and my mind may change. I don't expect those words to be spoken from any Mosque. I wish I was wrong! I will hope I am wrong and I will wait for the masses to shout the atrocities are NOT taught from the Koran publically and LOUD.
We do not have to accept or believe that this is a true "war" but our acceptance or belief, does not change what the truth is. They believe their actions are indeed just. And war with humanity is here. As SICK as it may be. I ask why President Obama told us all that Islam is the religion of peace. Places of peaceful contemplation. Religious tolerance.

I usually just double click the BF1942 desktop icon and voila. The upgrades were automatic before puter shut down. I did right click and try to run as administrator. Same end. Nothing happens. Tried system restore and it keeps saying "system restore failed. Try again or use a different restore point:. Did BOTH to no avail. Didnt install anything between running game last evening before shutting down for the night. It is set to run compatibility windows XP service pack 3 too!

FYI I pay $178.00 per week for Dental and Health insurance, for 3 boys and myself. With a $10,000.00 deductible for Medical. Employer gives us $3,000.00 on a FSA account which brings deductible to 7 grand. Gotta love Obamacare for those with full time jobs and I live in the Insurance capital of the world, Connecticut. My out of pocket doubled in two years and deductible from 6k to 10k in those 2 years.

Last evening when I shut my computer off, it waited for 16 automatic updates to install before shutting down. This morning when I get up I try to play and Battlefield does not even open. Windows 8. Battlefield CDs install, all 8 discs inclusive. Has anyone experienced this and have a clue as to the correction? Got those shaking hands from the DTs.............

Anyone can ask Admin for 'MAPVOTEOFF' and it should eliminate the issue for that map only. I get lazy myself and the memory for hitting #8 is practically automatic. Suddenly I feel like a cause and affect crash dummy.............
