there's something really fishy about that mac version, i've been doing some tests with a guy with mac, none of hosts/dns tricks worked, i've gradually patched all references to gamespy.com in binary until i found it's sending queries to a different port (and even udp, not tcp)
not good
EDIT:
ok, it seems mac version uses some newer gamespy sdk and as such
1. does query to bfield1942.available.gamespy.com:27910 and seems to freeze on that as well - this part is (partially) fixed
2. uses enctypeX on a different port to obtain server list - which plain sucks
It's very strange they don't publish the results of investigation. I still remember the Polish president plane crash and the results of investigation with records and reconstruction. In this case, they publish nothing.

maybe give them some time?
i've seen a news headline few days ago that black boxes showed nothing suspicious (which was kinda expected)
it won't probably work anyway as i found out because apple sucks and every osx release seems to be broken in a different way when it comes to overriding dns (dns having priority over hosts, some apple service sometimes having even higher priority than that)
as i couldn't get bf1942 working in osx running in vmware, i can't do much testing on this
so anything below might or might not working depending on your osx version:
putting "109.71.69.254 master.gamespy.com" in /private/etc/hosts
putting "order hosts, bind" in /private/etc/resolv.conf
sudo dscl localhost -create /Local/Default/Hosts/master.gamespy.com IPAddress 109.71.69.254
if anyone with osx can get it working, let me know
any idea what's that flag in the background?
hook, is that translation correct?
and do you know what area he means by "palestinian land"?
Same as in palestina, the international court made a decision, but where is the rest of the world? There's no sanctioning against Israel or USA in case of Laos.
i don't remember if you're from switzerland or germany but do you know if your country is doing anything about it? if not, do you know why?
almost pure ukranian with west accent with some russ words ofc- usualy deal
thanks, those words that didn't match with subs often resembled those you can hear in dialects here that's why i asked what's that
that woman around 1:20:00 with russian subtitles, is she speaking ukrainian? or is that some dialect?
I see, you didn't watch the lecture... but you really should...
could you please describe your thought process that led you to this conclusion?
Nobody says, that Israel is not allowed to build a wall, but the wall now is 85% on palestinian country.
...
And this "protecting settlements" doesn't count, bec. the settlements are illegal. Highest court says that over years...
Israel should leave the palestinians land, it's easy... or they give some other land to the palestinians...
...
that's what ICJ said
international law body
then i don't understand why you rejected the idea that palestine should use international law to reach their goals instead of just provoking bloodshed that doesn't lead anywhere
...
Why should palestinians go the international law route, if all is clear since years for all around world, exclude 2 countries. (if you really were looking the second video). You know, there is nothing new since 2010. (All is about the same). Perhaps because of that Arafat had to die. Israel counts on Hamas to legitimate the war.
The rest of the world should only sanctioning israel.
...
Besides, Hamas is involved in gouverment since 2006. Israel had 35 years time before and now ask yourself, why they didn't found a solution.
...
i don't mind people editing posts to fix typos but continually adding stuff makes the one that's responding look like he's ignoring parts of your post
You know, there is nothing new since 2010. (All is about the same).
so hamas are still guys with firecrackers? (ok, they probably weren't even in 2010)
Israel had 35 years time before and now ask yourself, why they didn't found a solution.
i've asked, came up with 2 possibilities 1. they didn't want to 2. the other side made it impossible
does this solve anything for the future?
Why should palestinians go the international law route, if all is clear since years for all around world, exclude 2 countries.
because if you do illegal stuff (which shooting rockets at enemy territory, infiltrating it in order to kill/kidnap people is), it's hard to pretend you're the good guy and get some sympathy and help
it just degenerates into a heated debate about who's less evil
Very interesting. It needs time to watch, but it's worth it.
biased but nonetheless interesting
i'd like to see more of that Q&A than lecture and if it was done now and not in 2010, it'd be great
but it supports seventy's idea with palestine going the international law route instead of the "let's provoke violence" one since he says the whole world is siding against israel
if only that happened
i see more like around 270 after subtracting duplicate entries and known fake/idle player servers
What happened when russian school was attacked by chechenian terrorist, some school in beslam i think, after they killed few civilians russian forces execute few terrorists and first what came from usa was '' Russia uses excessive force against chechens'' .
really?
They cite the use of heavy weapons, such as tanks and Shmel rocket flamethrowers. Their usage was officially confirmed. The Shmel is a type of thermobaric weapon, described by a source associated with the US military as "just about the most vicious weapon you can imagine – igniting the air, sucking the oxygen out of an enclosed area and creating a massive pressure wave crushing anything unfortunate enough to have lived through the conflagration."

if that was a building full of terrorists, i wouldn't care but there were 1100 hostages including 777 children

sorry for off-topic
i am not their spokeperson but if u do insist its their act of retaliation hoping to do some damage to the Israeli side... I am not justifying their actions but telling u what apparently their state of mind would be...
but the original question was what islamic religion says about their actions
you said it forbids killing innocent people and they are apparently trying to do so
btw, what's punishment for killing an innocent?
this is also an interesting opinion, basically saying that science in muslim world is dead because they're "too ethical" - in other words islam prohibits gaining profit from knowledge and not to share it for free (and therefore there's no incentive for research) and the fix should be finding some jurist(?) that'd tweak the rules a bit
by a opinion this new part caused stop of science development- being the center of humanity knowlege in times of middleages, Muslim world lost this leadership very rapidly, because some sultan made a addition to have more powers, just same story as with others religions, also there are many diffrent branches of it teaching appeared..
that's an interesting question why that happened
i love this EA post

they got the nerve to include bf1942 (with a weird screenshot) after they just killed it (and could have easily saved it)
s[sk] wrote:are all israelis considered guilty then?
No not israelis, only those who are directly involved in the attacks n those supporting the attacks
so why is hamas trying to kill any israeli with those rockets?
and u say u they do every effort to avoid children being killed right?
i'm sorry but this screams "fake" for too many reasons
look brother...as per Islamic law..anyone who kills a single innocent human being may it be a christian, jew, hindu or whatever, the sin is as if he has killed the whole of humanity..they dont have any relation to Islam in anyway...each n every single life is precious and collateral damage is out of question, u simply cant kill any innocent...
are all israelis considered guilty then?
Saying: "עוד מתנה מאיתנו לחמאסניקים ברצועת עזה."
Another gift from us to Gaza Strip.
is that a 1:1 translation?
because google translate tries to put hamas there in a not very clear way
"Another gift from us Hamasniks Gaza Strip."
ISIS is not about sunni or shia..they are blindly killing anyone and everyone, killing innocent civilians destroying mosques and bombing shrines of prophets!..seriously?? u bomb the shrine of a highly respected Prophet in Islam??!! u must be out of ur mind...Israelis have a history of illegally killing all those prophets sent down to them to guide them to the right path..a muslim can never do this act of insanity...u say they are from a specific sect right? did they ever state what sect they are from? no... u dont have any proof..please talk with proof, dont argue on the basis of ur assumptions (that they might belong to sunni or shia sect and they are killing the other sect....u dont prove anything)
maybe i have understood you wrong (saying that muslims do not kill muslims generally), that's why i ask about sunni and shia and their relations
ok, if ISIS are not muslims, what are they? (in terms of religion)
if they were muslims why would they attack other muslims??
given there are numerous documented clashes between sunni and shia, which of those groups are not muslims?
The difference is that Israel's invasion of Gaza has caused far more deaths than Palestine's rocket attacks on Israel so for me I don't believe it can be classed as defence, it sounds more like offence.
and that's why i originally asked what would you do
i don't know many countries that would tolerate being shot at and i don't think you'd want to live in one
should israel disable their defense system so they can argument with number of casualties? that'd be stupid
s[sk] wrote:i wouldn't mind to be proven horribly wrong when i think israel wouldn't go full force into gaza if hamas didn't constantly shoot at them and use tunnels to kill people but that's impossible to tell
Sounds like you are saying you wouldn't mind Israel going full force into Gaza unprovoked. Surely that isn't what you mean?
i would mind that because that would be wrong
i just tried to say that i wouldn't mind being proven wrong about israel because i'm not one of those that can't accept to be wrong when confronted with rational arguments and/or verifiable facts
Who are Hamas allies? Why don't they help them?
Sadly I don't know the perfect solution, but I do know that I don't like countries invading each other.
i don't like that either
but i also don't see much difference between invasion (entering foreign territory) and shelling someone's territory from outside (and i'm even ignoring here those infiltrations to israel using tunnels)
i wouldn't mind to be proven horribly wrong when i think israel wouldn't go full force into gaza if hamas didn't constantly shoot at them and use tunnels to kill people but that's impossible to tell
so the only thing i can do is sit and wait until hamas stops doing what he's doing and then watch israeli reaction
if and when that happens, i don't know
Since these attacks are coming from outside of Israel isn't it something the international community should deal with?
but what can they do?
tell both sides to stop? doesn't seem to work
send some "peacekeeper" forces to gaza? that wouldn't end up very well
I take it you're a troll who likes to provoke?
if that somehow helps you to cope with my opinions, feel free to think that, i'll be glad to help ;-)
It would be invading Gaza and killing 1000+ Palestinians as defence.
well, let's wait
i'd love to hear some solutions, so far i just heard hook's (kill all jews)
