it won't probably work anyway as i found out because apple sucks and every osx release seems to be broken in a different way when it comes to overriding dns (dns having priority over hosts, some apple service sometimes having even higher priority than that)
as i couldn't get bf1942 working in osx running in vmware, i can't do much testing on this

so anything below might or might not working depending on your osx version:

putting "109.71.69.254 master.gamespy.com" in /private/etc/hosts
putting "order hosts, bind" in /private/etc/resolv.conf
sudo dscl localhost -create /Local/Default/Hosts/master.gamespy.com IPAddress 109.71.69.254

because if you do illegal stuff (which shooting rockets at enemy territory, infiltrating it in order to kill/kidnap people is), it's hard to pretend you're the good guy and get some sympathy and help
it just degenerates into a heated debate about who's less evil

i don't know many countries that would tolerate being shot at and i don't think you'd want to live in one

i just tried to say that i wouldn't mind being proven wrong about israel because i'm not one of those that can't accept to be wrong when confronted with rational arguments and/or verifiable facts

but i also don't see much difference between invasion (entering foreign territory) and shelling someone's territory from outside (and i'm even ignoring here those infiltrations to israel using tunnels)
i wouldn't mind to be proven horribly wrong when i think israel wouldn't go full force into gaza if hamas didn't constantly shoot at them and use tunnels to kill people but that's impossible to tell
so the only thing i can do is sit and wait until hamas stops doing what he's doing and then watch israeli reaction
