non isometric? what does that mean?
The game is using a widescreen-resolution for rendering, probably 16:9 ratio, but the recording actually seems to have a 4:3 ratio.
If the settings were isometric then distances between 2 points would be preserved at rotation of the camera. But you can see how things get stretched in the corners and are squeezed together at the sides.
It's uncomfortable to look at. I can just hope this happened as a result of post-processing because if you actually play like that it will make flying very difficult.
Our brain isn't really meant to deal with a non-isometric environment.
Freud is the founder of psycho-analysis. The field is still present but moved on quite a bit since its foundation.
Psycho-therapy, like behavioural therapy for instance, has become kind of more popular though because it's better to standardise and experiment with.
Psycho-analytic treatment is much more work-intensive and takes longer because of it.
However, some studies suggest that the greater intensity seems to yield more sustainable results.
Both methods can be effective though for instance when combating depression.
Non-isometric video settings give me nausea. How can you even fly like that anyway?
You were banned by gio for 1 day because of base-attack.
It can be distributed but not publicly. That's why I mentioned the necessary login.
This however has nothing to do with an EULA, which I'm unaware exists for battlefield 1942, but with the copyright act.
Battlefield 1942 does not qualify as abandonware(contrary to what some people on the internet like to claim) and therefore is copyright protected.
However, due to the fact that BF was previously distributed for free on origin and it's not being sold anymore it's unlikely that EA would even try to complain when the game was shared within a non-public(registration-required) community.
And even if they did, I doubt they could win a case in court on this matter.
A real launcher should be able to install the base-game. Then you could not make it available publicly but behind a login you could.
Also this tool box looks way more complicated than what would be needed. If it's more SiMPLE it will be more popular.
I think the easiest solution is to build a launcher for bf that can fully replace the game menu. When you join a server from the launcher it can check if the client files for the map/mod running on the server are available and if they are not then it just downloads them from a central server as you suggested. I would like to create something like that in the future. I've created something similar already for the league servers. The league runs a changing map pool each season and maps get patched occasionally. In order to keep all servers in sync I created a way to distribute the maps automatically from a centralised repository. The system could be used for clients as well but it would need to be adjusted obviously.
Crazy you guys have all public ips. Ephemeral port mapping is pretty much standard in Europe and public ips for private end-users are rare in Germany. Either the US phone companies bought way too many IP4 early on or lots of people don't actually have internet.
Its propably because you are inside the same subnetwork, seems like home-routers network address translation (NAT) cant coop with it.
In short its an old problem, easiest to ask a friend if he can see the server, or use another tool like hlsw
?
There is no guarantee that even the router is not in an entirely different network to begin with. In which case it cannot be reached via IP4. It's a pretty common scenario, I'm surprised that a public IP4 for every end-user still seems to be the standard in the US?!
Well, that can have different reasons. You should first try to verify if your server is reachable online at all by using its IP or if applicable its host name to connect using the "add server" button in the multiplayer menu.
If you use a global IP (not 192.168.*.* or 10.8.*.* or 127.0.*.* or similar) to connect and the connection is established then you didn't open all ports correctly.
In particular you need to open at least
14567/udp
22000/udp
23000/udp
if you want the server to correctly appear on the list.
What exactly do you mean by that you can't get the server up? Does it crash? Or how do you determine it is not up?
Yeah, he somehow snapped after I complained a little bit that he took my jeep. Not sure if he was trolling before that but he certainly was after.
I think he usually plays normal though.
Like I said, I held W, the boat dropped instantly after I got in. But you killed me on the 2nd frame I got in. I wasn't risking anything. I was doing exactly what you would have wanted me to do. But you still team killed me. I believe you that it wasn't with bad intentions. But the fact you aren't able to see you even teamkill people when they do what you want is why you should not be allowed to play until you start to realise this. Or your playtime in which you are allowed to behave like an asshole should be limited to 1 hour per day.
Merlin you need to learn to understand that you cannot just overrule other people's decisions using illegal methods. There is no such context as you construct that could justify it.
I think the majority of people believe you that you are convinced what you are doing is correct. But in return you should realise that an even clearer majority believes what you are doing is incorrect and the only reason you get through with it is because you receive some twisted form of protection from people in power.
You teamkilled me like Berkle once in a very similar fashion just that I was holding W while getting into the LCVP. The landing boat dropped with my dead body in driver's seat because you just shot in a knee-jerk reflex seeing that someone had the audacity to occupy your precious landing boat before you had the chance to. I would totally expect to see the same thing happening if the b17 had an open driver's window.
People need to be allowed to wait for more teammates come on board. It's just teamplay in their head. You're not the general on the field, you're just another soldier. Nothing gives you ranks over others and entitlement to decide so easily if they should be team killed for what they are doing. Furthermore other people should be allowed to have their go at the b17 even when you are on the server. You're not re-enacting a play of ww2 as some military hero but you're playing a game staring at a screen like many other people on the server together with you trying to have fun in their respective way.
Unlike berkle I did not even bother to report this to any admin when you tked me but just left the server not long after, once I realised that instead of apologising you're making all sorts of excuses why you accidentally shot me in order to protect allies from losing the beach flag.
You're lacking even the most basic skills of self-reflectiveness and social decency. You will never admit your mistakes even if there can't be a shred of doubt you made a mistake let alone take responsibility for them.
As long as you don't grow up in this regard and continue to get unjustly protected in spite of your behaviour, I cannot sincerely blame people like asbestos that get fed up over you and start finding their own methods in an attempt to retaliate against you.
Thank you for explaining mitch. That there is a higher chance of a glitch here than the guy simply changing values. The proof isnt what I or deeko write here, its the video lulzek posted and we just mentioned it, also bringing a very possible explanation. Anyone could have, but a few would have. You are prone to overcomplicate things?
I also know some other details about him that you dont, hence my conclusion.
Just raising awareness
I never said there is a higher chance. I'd probably give it 50/50. But it's not definitive enough to condemn him unlike what you've been doing.
I may be overcomplicating things but you're certainly doing the opposite.
Everyone has knowledge gaps. So do I. I just happen to have experienced this kind of thing first-hand without any modifications. I don't even know who this guy is.
That he knows a lot about the game doesn't mean he knows everything about the game. Just like I do not.
If I had the same knowledge gap and would be easier to jump conclusions I would probably band waggon the suspicion train. But in this case I have good reason not to and in general I always advocate balance and patience when it comes to condemning cheaters.
Sadly, I wasn't an admin when you got banned in the league community deeko. I doubt it was entirely justified the way it was explained to the public.
However, deleting your discord and some of your latest comments here also in conjunction with what your brother said don't let you shine in the same good light anymore as when you first started to try to make amends.
Unlike DoubTi I think it is necessary to control and persecute cheating so nobody feels like cheating can easily go without consequence. So in general I welcome your attempts of investigating videos closely also that of people which appear to be specially respected by the community.
I identify it as a valuable addition to every community still involved in the game. However, you guys could still amp your "style" a bit and you need a stoic patience if you want to repent for things the majority of the community believes you were involved in.
If you're easily shaken in your convictions and get agitated by the likes of killer then you'll elongate your way.
If some of you are interested in exemplary investigations in controversial cheating cases then I'd recommend having a look at this recent video produced in the aftermath of the Dream cheating controversy in Minecraft:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3Yzk-3SZfs
That's how a community could deal with cheating in a mindful way. However, it requires to actually sit through the 75+ minutes to get a grasp on what kind of meticulousness is required when a case is complex and hard to dissect.
The distance from which he can hear enemy weapons at that loudness can only be achieved by changing the sound values. True is that changing computers and isps and your chair can make a big difference regarding sounds, hit regs and overall compability, simply not to such extent. No blame, hes trying to make it easier cause he is lagging after all, be it the proxies he is hiding behind or something else.
I'll allow it
I think the only chair having any big difference regarding sounds is probably yours.
I've experienced the exact same sound environment without changing any values just by using different earphones.
Perhaps I should add that all my earphones have external sound cards so they do in fact change the sound at DAC level.
I personally believe that this was a bug in processing the, arguably a bit outdated, audio codec that bf uses.
You need to present me with a chair that can do such a thing and then tell me the likelihood any of us uses such a chair.
If a sound is audible then it IS present in its respective channel on the digital stream and it CAN be changed by hardware or any software operating on driver level without the need to change anything in the game.
Now, any change made to the game files outside the ones that are explicitly allowed is a definitive 'no-no' at least in regard of the rules of the league community. Other changes are subject to individual consideration.
Changing your ISP is allowed. Changing your hardware is allowed. Once we enter the zone of manipulating hardware settings we enter a grey-zone where most things are generally allowed as well though.
What is seen or heard in the video can be the result of a hardware or driver, arguably operating faulty, which is certainly allowed. It can also be the result of an intentional sound modification - e.g. equalizers and other sound capture drivers that let you capture sound and process, or a modified sound driver itself - which would be in the grey. And lastly it could be a modification of the game files as proposed by you.
If you can't present the chair. At least present better evidence why it should be the latter scenario, otherwise it's just not enough for a condemnation since we will have to give the benefit of the doubt.
50 euro who goes to killers house and lays him out
Yo, that's not cool.
I've experienced the same sound when using my new earphones that I bought 3 years ago or so. Haven't used them since then. Luckily I still have two pairs of my old favourite earphones
.
However, I don't think this would have translated to a recording. So it is somewhat weird, but it could still be hardware or a driver causing this type of sound.
No admin claimed to have seen "EVERYTHING" so I don't get why you keep going on and on about it. It's embarrassing, really.
Police also cannot catch ALL the criminals... Sometimes you get picked out in an unlucky situation. You can complain about that, but in general it's unlikely to help you.
Your ban* is just for 3 days. I assume you'll get unbanned right away if your story can be confirmed from the logs.
The people that answered you so far can basically only reiterate what they've told you. You are banned because of ban evading.
You received a timed-ban a while ago that you evaded which resulted in that you got permanently banned. You then evaded the permanent ban by using a "different account" and got banned there too.
Considering that you evaded twice and don't show any acknowledgement of your fault makes it very unlikely that your ban will be lifted.
It's also clearly apparent that you're not the kind of player that will be dearly missed considering how many warning and kicks for all sorts of reasons you've collected just considering the past year.
You evaded a 3-day ban about a month ago and got permanently banned as a result. You got banned again because you were evading the permanent ban now.

No, I started playing yesterday
Lol, sorry if that sounded a bit harsh. Somedays are just shitty and unfortunately it does reflect a bit when i type stuff.

This statement just doesnt compute to me. How can one see anyone taking off if being high up and in the fog?

First of all, you're using some aesthetics-mod that would not be allowed in the bf-league. I'm not sure how that's affecting the LoD and culling-distance in your video but that taken aside...
I would easily be able to see a plane taking-off from height at around 0:19. Take away thrust at descent and you can then easily target the plane to get the name-tag feedback.
If it's the correct target you then proceed to thrust again and pull up slightly to adjust your aim-point ahead and take down the plane.
I don't even know why this is still being discussed...
It really is nothing special for a good pilot to be waiting above their airfield to take out a certain someone. You would need to be unlucky facing two concurrent take-offs and checking the nametag of the wrong plane and receive immediate AA fire.
In many situations it's frustrating when an enemy pilot bails on you. I can't say it never gets to me but I think ultimately you always should just be letting it go if you can. Another point to consider in my opinion is that bailing in the right moment is a skill that's useful for playing in the bf-league. Optimally good pilots are also good infs so they are not only a force to be reckoned with when they are in the air. Hitting the right timing for bailing could be something you should be practising if you want to be a good pilot. Of course that doesn't really work as well when your ping is 200+.
Disabling the parachute on a few of the many maps with planes, might be a way to introduce some poetic justice.

Top quality round.
Witness the emergence of a hero at 34:55 with the hero play at 36:40.
Not sure if this was asked before but why do your videos always have seemingly 10 fps? Are you really playing with that kind of framerate?
Only Zody is jokers, the rest are not.
I have been bothered by this for years already. The map rotation loves to keep some theme going, pacific into pacific into pacific etc. It would be nice if the map rotation could be made in a way so that the 3 war themes (europe, africa, pacific) as well as the class-focus inf/tank/plane vary and appear equally.
And why isn't it possible to have el alamein cq and el alamein ctf in the pool concurrently??? El alamein CQ is one of the most interesting CQ maps but there is only the CTF version regularly for years already. It's but a shame!
Of course the synchronisation is influenced by the things that you mentioned previously. Don't think that needed any further emphasis~
We made multiple mistakes on the axis side. Not sure who made up your allied strategy but it did a brilliant job in countering ours for the most part. Especially when you consider that we also executed it poorly on top of it.
If Karlson hadn't managed to cap the village you'd have probably lost the round, despite us playing poorly but it wasn't meant to be. You deserved to win East Docks but I think 2:1 for you and 2:3 for us in the end result would have better reflected the current power level of the teams. But you seized the opportunity and took what was up for grabbing.
Also murmansk wasn't easy despite the decisive result. There was constant pressure from invictus and not really any time for mistakes. Luckily we played near flawless that day, at least on murmansk~ ^^
