Uglavnom , ja sam i rekao svima da sam iznenađen jer si igrač staroga kova, i krivo bi mi bilo da je ovaj u pravu , pa se čudim i iskreno se nadam da je timmos pogriješio .

Ok, so, after a few hours of trying, seems like it works best in win xp sp3 compatibility mode, with manually added firewall exception for bf1942.exe.
Fortunately it was possible to uninstall the patch without having to reinstall the game, and immediately my ping dropped drasticaly.
My steps of installation :windows 7 professional x64, AMD platform::::Source : bf1942 + rtr + sw + patch 1.61b, + pixelfighters win7 patch.
In fact the damn game haven't crashed once , after i added the exception into fw.
i hope it would help others

nisam , to sam i mislio pokusati, ali moram deinstalirati prvo sve, i ocistiti registry, pa ponovno reinstalirati, i onda pokusati xp sp3

znaci nisi deinstalirao patch, nego samo run u vista kompat modu ?

I am very satisfied with my mx518 (g400), because it has 3 speed settings on it, right next to the wheel , and i find it very useful while playing with tank or plane, even with infantry these settings are sometimes fantastic, it s a beast, longevity is guaranteed, i have it for 7 years , and it has  i d say more then a million clicks by now(behaving still as brand new) . it goes well with logitech software, where you can adjust dpi settings as you wish... it s very handy, quite anatomic, and inside its program you can save settings for many games.....
i d go for it, when i bought it, it was like 50 euro, but now, it s a joke 20 $
