Very little time? We have until June 30th, 2014 to distribute the master server fix between Battlefield 1942 communities... that's plenty of time if you ask me.

Sepp, where you from buddy?

Now it's easy to communicate to all BF1942 communities at once! Pretty useful in the wake of the Gamespy master server shutdown.

The online community has about 75 or so players on a good day... so yeah pretty much dead. But a great game nonetheless.

Well, due to a possible lack of American teams signing up, I therefore announce that registration is OPEN to European teams and squads from now on!

Yeah I would need something that's server-side if possible.

Hi all, I am running a new I/O (Infantry Only) server located on the East Coast of the USA (New York). The server runs in the CD v1.61 version of the game and has PunkBuster enabled. The server is powered by GameServers.com.

It currently has only 10 slots but I will probably give it a couple more slots once I see how the server performs.
Berlin CTF + TDM and Stalingrad CQ + TDM are in the map rotation. Round time limit is 45 mins, with 10 rounds on each map.

I'm currently looking for some infantry server side mods for both these maps (nades and vehicles removed basically). For Stalingrad I'm looking for a nice FFM mod for Conquest.

If anyone has those mods or knows somebody that has them, please let me know. I cannot currently do any kind of modding, so I would appreciate if somebody sent me their infantry server files.

Some pretty nice texture face liftings in this mod! Will definetly give it a go.

Challenge accepted. When my exams are finished I'm ready to 1v1.

Wrong. Nothing will replace TTB.

#3193 Re: BF1942 Discussion » Grand Opening of Next Generation Fraggers » 2014-05-02 02:26:08

The server will be hosted either in the Midwest region of the United States or the East Coast.

Don't want to be rude or anything but I don't encourage any European teams, clans or players to join the event because of obvious ping limitations. We don't want people whining about ping constantly. Plus this is a North American league, so the priority goes to North American players.

That I will do when I get the time twigs. You can help me advertise for the event if you want, it would be greatly appreciated!

@tuia: Well that is why I ask that everyone uses Xfire for the event.

Next Generation Fraggers is a North American E-Sports gaming league for EA Game's 2002 hit FPS game Battlefield 1942.
We offer a top notch competition server hosted by Gameservers for all our contestants.

The league server runs in v1.61 of the game, and is PunkBuster protected.

At Next Generation Fraggers, when you win, you are rewarded. That's why cup winners receive REAL prizes such as free server and website hosting for a year, as well as cash prizes! Yes, you heard right, real cash prizes!

Next Generation Fraggers offers a wide variety of competitive ladders for its contestants. You and your team can choose to compete in the 5v5 Infantry ladder, the 2v2 Tanks ladder or the 1v1 Dogfight ladder. A full, 8v8 Conquest regular season will kick in as soon as competing teams show enough interest.

Right now, the admin team is looking for players interested in participating in an introductory, 3v3 CTF Infantry Open Cup. If you are interested in participating, sign-in your team in the Registration topic. We have room for 24 contestants and register teams to the cup on a first come, first served basis.

Problem with NA scene is there are only a handful of elite players and if prize money is involved there will only be one team with rest fighting for scraps. Infantry or tank only might be able to get some competition going, but an 8v8+ would be crazy one sided.

I beg to differ. There are a few clans out there (=SoC=, 5thMR, BFO) that are able to make teams, and MoonGamers alone would probably be able to make 4 teams alone itself atleast. Obviously we are not going to launch a full 8v8 season right off the bat. I was thinking a small, 5v5 cup (perhaps infantry) for starters would be nice.

Title is self explanatory. Vote here if you would like this server to be hosted again.

For those that are unfamiliar with this server, it was the first server to ever hit the 128 player mark in the history of Battlefield 1942. It brought significant activity into the game, with up to 100 players populating the server on a normal day.

The server was only temporary though, as after a couple of months it was no longer online and the forums disappeared.

2014-04-18 *UPDATE*

Here is a picture of a new map I'm working on: Train_Yard.
Map will be CTF, TDM and ''Elimination'' (a Conquest variant) ready. Features over 1300 hand placed objects!

8 maps in total are in the plans. Stay tuned for updates!

I had done a review of the custom map pack. Turns out 8 of the maps you put in the poll are in the short version of the revised map pack I did (all the maps minus Nuenen).
