can we find a set of maps to suit the majority? If we don't like the rotation then users can give feedback on the forums.
Unfortunately, nowadays the user feedback has almost no recipients, as the head admin is almost never here to make significant changes

So all this week, but importantly today, about 1 hour ago, it was El Alamein, then omaha, with 12 on 12,
someone knowingly set it back by vote, sending it to 5 on 5 El Al again,
they are doing it on purpose to sabotage the server population, this must be stoppedspecially if that vote is for el alamein
The voting system is helpful with small server population, but I think it's best to have it automatically disabled when certain amount of players joined the server (say, 30)
In other cases, it's up to the presence of admin to disable the map votes as they may be abused by certain players, like voting for El Alamein during El Alamein map.

I have to switch my OS from Win10 to Linux Mint.
Is there a way to play BF1942 on Linux too?
I don't know if it's possible to install it on Linux, but I had this game installed over 10 years ago on Windows, so I simply copy-pasted the game directory to my Linux Ubuntu and simply use wine to run the 'BF1942.exe' file

ptk x 3 = kick
ftk = equals minus score
This way the TKers eventually can be gotten rid off without admin
This is great idea! Don't know if it's possible to negate minus score thought, but kicking for 3 ptk's (after actual teamkills) could very well work
let's pretend someone applies such things to SiMPLE nowadays
I'll share this discussion on Discord with Admin team, there are some smart tech guys who should be capable to implement this

Player A, a normal and reasonable player accidentally TKs player B,
Player A shouts at player B, because B is even more of an idiot and ptk'ed A, who has now 1 minute spawn time.

Player C operates the APC and gets rammed by a car.
There's a bug every now and then which makes the truck driver responsible for the passengers.
I feel for the Player C Blindschuetz there
The original idea behind ftk and ptk is good, but in practice it simply does not work.
Well, perhaps it's best they're not active anymore, more active and responsible admins is the key to the wealth of the server.

TK + ftk = normal spawn time
TK + ptk = regular penalty + spawn time added from every victim who applies ptk
Wow seems that I have missed the era of having a penalty for the team kills. With no admin around it promises to be a handful feature to punish disruptors.
What was the feedback on the commands back then?

Well, ftk and ptk were once active, but haven't been since months (years?), yet the server text still mentions them.
Some players are completely unaware of its existence, while others simply do not know how to use it properly.
It's a shame, really, 'cause it could be quite useful.
Nevertheless, it's a delicate matter, as like all useful things, it can be abused.
In any case, there is plenty of room for discussion.
For me (and I think for many others) it was always easier to simply write "sry" instead of hitting those commands.
Don't think I've seen them actually work, did they print a special apologetic message to the victim?

Couple of new features
- Placements leaderboards. Rankings based on how many 1st, 2nd and 3rd places you've received. You can slice it by changing the minimum number of players in the round. A higher number of players means the ranking had more opposition.
- Will add team stats next, to track the winning team, and record that on the player profile. Will also show it on the server details page to show team winning stats per map
Damn that's very nice looking, good job!. I wish we had this 10 years ago...
