Thank you for the clear answer, based on this, the bridge is now an attackable and mineable area.
I would appreciate it if I could get a clarifying response to my further questions (Market Garden, Kursk).
Is there an option to make the yellow Server messages stay on the screen for a longer period of time? (The ~3 seconds display time seems very short; I've noticed that many server messages have been replaced by grey chat messages.) I couldn’t find any settings for this online, and I suspect it’s client-side, but at least modifiable on the client side.
Your question is a good one; everyone has a different idea of what makes a good game. As a defender, holding positions is important, and as an attacker, a successful breakout is key. However, in a good game, I also consider the competence of my teammates, in addition to the enemy’s actions. Unfortunately, in some cases, I feel like "there’s no need for an enemy, as there are teammates" (I’m thinking of pointless grenades causing team kills, intentional team kills, or when a teammate drives into an obviously visible landmine despite all the warnings).
Off-topic question: Do the ptk and ftk commands have any effect? I use these commands, but i want to know what is the different between: no use any command, use forgive, use punish.
P.S.: See you on the battlefield...
Hello!
I would like to respond to the points mentioned below.
First, regarding my English: Since I thought my own English skills might cause misunderstandings, I ended up using a translation software (which can also make mistakes), which is why my writing might seem at a "higher" level than it actually is. Unfortunately, in reality, I don't speak this well. As a result, there are times when I don't notice every message, since reading and interpreting messages during gameplay (even before radio messages or other text messages push them off-screen) is not always feasible. Clear addressing and highlighted messages (in the public chat, such as "!wbase .1, --> User please stop Base camping") help with this, but in this case, if it was there, I didn't notice it.
It's understandable that this is not a paid server, and that it is an older, 20-year-old game with a declining population, even though "new" players still find it. Personally, I've been playing the game for a long time, starting well before GameSpy shut down.
Last night, I visited the forum, wrote my response, but then received an error message when trying to submit it, stating that I had to wait 14,400 seconds between posts, of which about 6,800 seconds were still remaining (the 4-hour limit referred to this, NOT to your response speed – sorry for the misleading wording). As a result, I returned to the game and may have potentially broken a rule (team-stacking), as I switched to the team with the Uncapturable Base, thus eliminating that possibility of mistake.
Back to the Base-Camp issue: In my understanding, the rule exists to prevent spawn-kill opportunities, allowing the player to start responding to the attack. Since the bridge is far from the spawn area, I considered it no longer part of the Base-camp category, but it seems I was mistaken, and that led to the conflict.
Ultimately, I came here to get clarification, but based on what’s written, there are no clear boundaries, so it is not possible to fully follow them.
Nevertheless, I would like to request clarification on the following questions about the boundaries and what is acceptable:
Kybely Airfield: Can the bridge be mined, and can players passing through it be attacked?
Market Garden: Can the stone bridge be mined? If yes, is it both sides, or only the middle? (I suspect this is why I got kicked once – I mined it, someone stepped on it (I was physically near the middle flag), and I got kicked, which I also didn’t think was fair.)
Kursk/Kharkov: There are no obvious terrain markers that define the base boundary. I would appreciate if you could clarify when a unit leaving the base can be attacked, and when I can shoot back.
For me, following the rules is important, but I can only follow what is clearly defined. What isn't clearly defined, I try to deduce from the spirit of the rules, which in this case is the clear avoidance of spawn-killing, i.e., ensuring the spawn zone remains free of attacks. However, this needs further clarification, as it wasn’t fully justified in the situation.
Thank you in advance for your response.
Alright, in that case I would like to request the exact base boundaries for all maps (including the default and the RTR+SW maps), on every map where this can be clearly defined.
On my part, I could not find any description of this under /rules, and if there is no such information on the forum either, I kindly ask that it be created, because neither I nor anyone else can be expected to follow a rule that is not precisely defined.
From the response written above, it is not clear whether the bridge itself is considered part of the base or not, and whether I am allowed to shoot at someone crossing the river, or if I have to wait until they finish swimming across.
According to the wording, the only thing that is clear is that the area beyond the bridge—so, if I understand correctly, the far side of the river—is considered part of the base, including the B3 and G5 coordinates as well. This sounds somewhat irrelevant, but they are also located on the far side of the river.
Since we are clarifying things anyway, I would also be interested in the case of the “Market Garden” map: where exactly the boundary is at the Big, and the small (stone bridge), and what is allowed and what is not (mining it, shooting players crossing it, etc.).
Finally, I would like to include a few videos where this rule was not respected against me and there were no consequences (even though I was standing quite clearly next to the base flag).

Thank you for your help and for assisting in clarifying the boundaries of the Uncapturable Enemy Base.
PS: I assume the rules do not apply to bots.
PS2: Flood-Protect is good, but waiting 4 hour for answer seems a bit much.
Dear Forum,
I believe an admin is abusing their power on the RTR+SW server.
Map: Kybely Airfield
1st kick reason: I attacked the enemy's main base.
In my opinion, the bridge is NOT part of the enemy's main base. However, if it is, I would like to see a picture showing the borders of main bases on the map.
After I reconnected, I wrote a message stating that the bridge is not part of the base and that the admin was abusing their power. Then, I got banned while I was trying capturing back the second flag.
This is not an unban request, as the ban will be lifted in a few minutes.
Picture about ban (expire in 2days): https : / / ibb.co/YBtxxPvC
But I had some time to write about this issue.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks for your help, and sorry for my English.
