Hello there people!

So I have encountered a problem here with free bf1942.
My father used to play a lot of bf1942 desert combat back in the days and I wanted to surprise him with it this christmas.
BUT these greedy bastard EA guys made origin only to DRM us and I can't patch bf to 1.61b with desert combat and see the old servers (i even had a tough time enabling the damn punkbuster).
Could anybody please help me? I couldnt find any copies of the 1942 in the stores so i must use the damned origin. And of course he doesnt want to play the new battlefields , because he doesnt like any of them.

Help would be much appreciated.
