Soundproblems - lowering my fps

Hey Leute. I wonder if any of you knows the solution to a sound problem i'm having.
After a few minutes of gameplay my fps will decrease gradually, causing me to disable all sounds, or else it wont run fast. I've had this problem before but I had forgotten about it and also don't remember how it fixed itself or got fixed.

This time it appeared when I tried my new joystick and ran the game from the cd to play singleplayer, thing which I haven't done in a long time.
So I assume its not the joystick since i've had the problem before but it could be related with singleplayer or running the game from drive (i always start from xfire).
I remember in the past i upgraded by sound drivers but that didn't fix it. So that's it, if you can tell me the problem i'd be much appreciated smile

Vielen dank

Re: Soundproblems - lowering my fps

What is your sound card? You could try enabling Hardware Acceleration in Sound Options.

Re: Soundproblems - lowering my fps

For some reason that option isn't available for enabling. The soundcard is in the motherboard

Re: Soundproblems - lowering my fps

had similar probs with CPU which has the 'Hyper-threading' shit(fake 2 cores), and when more then few players appearing in my 'hearing zone', i had got fps like 5-10, not sure, but probably that is because of software sound that using CPU resources without 'coordination', curiously that switching off 'Hyper-threading' in BIOS didnt really help, also was much better.. there are couple solutions how make it better

Re: Soundproblems - lowering my fps

Well i fixed cd key thing but turns out sound is not quite okay yet. its weird. I played a few rounds and noticed it was okay, than i installed infmod again and added the if_pack2009. Maybe it has something to do with that? anyway its a really annoying problem

Re: Soundproblems - lowering my fps

Try enabling hardware acceleration in BF1942 Sound Options or lowering quality to 22kHz. Most probably it can be a sound card driver problem.
