BF1942 The Complete Collection - Installation Error: 0x80010105

Hi guys

I recently built a new PC and have decided to get back into BF1942. Having a bit of trouble installing the Complete Collection. The Installer keeps failing and popping up the above error. I’ve tried with two different CD-ROM drives, connected by IDE (with a USB adapter) and SATA. I’ve also downloaded a digital copy of the game and I’m getting the same error.

DirectPlay is enabled, I’ve also followed this video https:// youtu.be/u8ouwqVuAT8

I know there’s advice about troubleshooting the game playing but they all tend to involve changing things in the installation folder.. which doesn’t excite because I can’t get that far..

I get: Choose your language > Install screen with logo > Allow app to make changes > Then it fails, Unhandled Exception - server threw an exception.

Any advice?

SafeDisc & Securom is not supported anymore since years.

and install it in C:\Games\Battlefield 1942 (Not into ProgramFiles).

Hmm... 0x80010105 is usually a Windows Update error. 

You restarted the PC? perhaps not finished updates?

You could run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. (After a restart and the problem still exists).

If nothing found, run "Sfc /scannow" in the admins CMD Box.

After "dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth"
