Aimbot use: amaterasu

I rarely post on this forum but after playing BF for a while you notice ridiculous gameplay from some players that defies the laws of the game and makes gameplay unpleasant. Please keep an eye out and monitor a new player called "amaterasu". The dude was quick scoping people on top of buildings from halfway across the map in assault mode (no sniper!) Insane aim, shoots through walls, all the usual traits of a player with aimbot enabled.

Admins: please check and be aware so gameplay can be enjoyable for the regulars.

Hi, if you think a player is using aimbot just go spectate him and record that on video, that way it can be easily proven.
I remind you that no player can shoot trough walls, it's tecnically impossible in this game. That effect is be given from delayed hitreg in this game, player shoots you but bullets take a second more to register a hit on you, it's just old game's mechanics. And don't forget that assault gun (Bren) is pretty overpowered, with good aim it doesn't leave a chance on medium/far distance.

I've just returned to the game after 4 months off and am rusty as the gates of hell but have been playing a very long time. Long enough to know that amateratsu is NOT a new player. He is an old player with a new name. He knows the maps, tricks and strategies far too deeply and intuitively to be a new player.  His ping is stable and low at around 45ms. He racks up very high scores and very low deaths.  The dude has moves!

I hate being suspicious of good players because I respect that experience, strategy and intelligence go a long way. I never mind playing against players far superior to myself and appreciate the challenges they bring to the game. I've had the pleasure of being pwned by many genuinely great players. I don't mind that at all. They have the equivalent of PhD's while I have my high school diploma.   

amateratsu is able to hit, with a short burst , everything he aims at no matter the distance and no matter at what angle and speed the opponent is moving.  He head shot me with two rounds while I travelled full speed on the motorcycle. Amazing! His accuracy is superb. Everyone agrees!

However, red flags were raised by many during the in game chat. Maybe because we don't know the name, maybe because we experienced players know when something isn't quite right. In the meanwhile, how is it possible to spectate? Is there a spectate mode or console command?

When u die, that short time before spawn instead of selecting a spawn point hit the C key to switch between players in the spectator view.

Just don't press "Enter", but "close" to close the SpawnPointMenu.

Otherwise you will spawn.

Well, I follow both Varda and doughboy. I normally not often suspect people of cheating but I do on this guy. And lot of people do while playing.

Maybe he ist just a very good player we all never heard of before (the best?)?

But people are leaving the map because of him, being frustrated. So it is worth to watch him.

Yes Paul, but how is this relevant to the issue? I complained about RaketenHorst for other reasons than just the type of shots he was pulling off across the map (mostly his admin problems, which I've again experienced today).

This particular player was pulling off shots that I've just never seen before, and other players were complaining too. It made the game very unenjoyable to play. I don't care how powerful an Assault mode weapon is, you can't shoot from a huge distance and kill a guy on full health with one shot. Questions must be fairly asked I think.

I'm sorry but how can we trust your reports if you accuse of cheating even our best admins without providing a somewhat reasonable proof of it?

i play with amaterasu too ))
That evening, almost all the players were angry and indignant his cheats.
Always headshots. distance doesn't matter.
The thing stinks a lot! aimbot or another shit.
