that amd big navi launch event in 12 days will probably be uninteresting
nvidia is a good step ahead of amd (as usual)
rumored radeon 6900 xt specs : 23 billion transistors, 22 gflops
nvidia geforce 3080 : 28 billion transistors, 28 gflops

Big Navi will be ~ equal to the 3080 but it has much more Memory.
Depends on the Price.
...
no, it will be weaker ..... wanna bet ?
20 gb versions of 3080 are on their way
processing power is the most important metric for these cards. medium or large memory amount is somewhat irrelevant
nvidia > amd
...
The card is not even out Dude, and it's a complete different piece of hardware.
You can't just compare the amount of transistors.
And no, Memory is not irrelevant. There are plenty examples of people who play games in 4k and the Memory of the card runs full.
But yes, ... for Bf1942 you don't need that cards.

i´ve also heard that big navi wont be more powerful than the new 3080
The leaked specs and the teaser AMD gave us suggest it will match the 3080 in some games, but be slightly slower otherwise. At the right price point and given the fact that it's almost impossible to get a 3080 right now, Big Navi could be a boon for AMD. I'd say if it comes in at $599 retail people who were waiting for 3080 will just buy that.
Meanwhile here I am with my 3090 playing 80% BF1942

the only reason why amd is getting close to nvidia, is that theyre lucky to get tsmcs 7 nm process for radeon 6xxx, while nvidia is getting samsungs crappy 8nm process for geforce 30xx
that tsmc 7 nm is 2 years ahead of samsung 8nm. this + the lack of displayport 2.0 is why this geforce 3000 series is real poor.
tsmc 7 nm = around 110 million transistors per mm2 and higher clock speeds
samsung 8 nm = around 65 million transistors per mm2
the non-geforce pro segment ampere is manufactured on tsmc 7nm. it has 45 billion transistors. a tsmc 7nm geforce 30xx wouldve beaten amd big time
amd isnt beating nvidia
tsmc is beating samsung
amd would be so incredibly screwed without tsmc, both for gpus and cpus
and yes, transistor / logic density and clock speeds is "everything"

No gold for you in case of Hardware
They made their work, just that.
Btw. The upcoming from AMD is the best thing what could happen. Not understandable are how Intel could fuck it up that badly.
Intels own production did not work as it should due the past years and that's the reason why they will outsource it too.

It’s always good to have competition, particularly at the top end.
I can totally see Nvidia releasing a 16GB 3080Ti to match the 6900XT in price and performance. Their 3090 isn’t meant for gamers anyway, 24GB VRAM is far in excess of what anyone needs, even at 4K.

Watercooling for AMD Gpus is easy. You can use all Blocks for all 6xxx graficcards.
For nVidia with all those custom designs it's not that easy.

arkos, why do you keep spamming in this thread, that you created yourself ....... 140 out of 209 posts are yours
youre basically talking to yourself all the time .... have you considered that maybe people arent interested in hearing about your selfmade amd newsfeed, and your obsession with amd .....
maybe you should find a hardware site instead
you remind me of icq
